barrelracr131 - 2014-08-26 8:00 AM El Scorcho... I believe LRQHs is standing him next year. :) This ad is old (as in I think he is more than 500, but it has all his info and the contact info)

http://www.barrelhorseworld.com/horsedetail.asp?id=113331

He's going to be inexpensive, and his babies are very very nice.
This would be an interesting mix with Tinys Gay top and bottom .... hmmmmmmmmm ....
Mine is not Tinys Gay :) she's a daughter of Tiny Guy.
Yes, here's a pedi on that potential baby

ETA: Where are you located, and do you want to stay under 1500 with shipping? or just the stud fee itself?

Just the stud fee :) may have to add him to the list :)

These mares are known for crossing well on Dinkys Red man (that's where Tiny Red Woman came from) and Jet of honor, but since both of those have been dead nearly 20 years, that doesn't work. Lol

I really like Pappasito, a lot. He's on my short list but I had a friend who had a baby by him and he didn't quite amount to what we all thought he should.
Kinda like High Rate of Return too but don't know anything about his babies brains.
Would love a Tres Seis son too..

My granddaughter of Dinkys Red Man was the most ill tempered witch of a mare I've ever been around. She was also the quickest and most althletic mare I've sat on, but I couldn't deal with her trigger finger marish-ness. One day she was fine, the next day everything would set her off. She wasn't a hot head, just spooky and marish and terrified of everything. There are some nice Dinky sons standing, but in my personal experience, I wouldn't touch another Dinky horse with a ten foot pole. They are popular around here and I've seen more of them with bad minds than ones with good minds.

Redneck Jet is a grandson of Jet of Honor and consistently produces champions and most of his babies are decent size and they sell like hotcakes.
I personally love Shawne Bug Leo, Flit to Kill, Blazin Jetolena and JL Dash Ta Heaven. I also love Confederate Leader but I don't think he stands to the public. Maybe his son, Epic Leader, would be one to consider. I don't think you can go wrong with Firewaterontherocks either.

Honestly, I've had a half a dozen of so Dinkys. Direct gets and grandgets, all of mine where athletic but I'm not looking to breed to one. Ready for something different :)

Most of the ones you listed are out of my price range :( FWOTR would be my first choice if I could afford him but there ain't no way. Lol

I also very much like Firewater Finale (a friend of mine crossed a hollywood dunnit bred NRHA money earner to him, and a race bred, both babies were gorg)

Also Howelling Corona

I believe both owners are BB's here

I would also agree Firewater Finale or Lyons Share of Fame. Both nice sized and level headed but damn impressive in the arena.

I'd cross her on Pacman ;) or I think she would be a nice cross on Furrtreeous! He's throwing size, lots of bone and brains.

Murphy - 2014-08-26 7:55 AM As far as size, I have always heard to breed type to type. So if she is 14.2 hands, I wouldn't breed to a 16 hand stallion.
You are correct. You should breed two phenotypically compatible individuals, I'm not breeding her to a 16 hand horse but I do want something bigger.

Personally, I don't see anything "wrong"  with breeding a short mare to a taller stallion.  Breeding "type to type" to ME doesn't necessarily mean they should be the same height.  This is what I got when I bred my 14.2 mare to my 16 hand stallion.  The 3 yo was taller thantheir dam by the time he was a 2yo.

I have been watching Best Advice. His oldest foals are just 5 and mainly have been on the track but a friend of mine tagged me in a FB post and his babies on his page look amazing. The rumor is they have great minds too!!! His fee is $1250 right now.

I bought a Pappasito yearling out ofthe same mare that my daughters mare, Vegas, is out of. This filly is extremely smart, level headed and one if the nicest yearlings I've ever seen. Quick (her dam) is a hot mess and tends to throw that into her foals with the exception of the Pappi filly. I've seen about 5 Pappi babies and all have been pretty darn fancy. If your friend has a bad one, I would say it's more of a cross not working than Pappi throwing a bad one. I sure wouldn't hesitate to breed a hot mare to him based on my experience.

Love mine too.
My mare is also small, and hot to ride, but not on the ground.
Her Pappasito filly is a long yearling, about 2 - 3" off her momma already, and really easy going. I expect that she will pass her before she turns 2. I take her pasture mate out, and she could care less.
Her momma is easy on the ground, so we shall see if that carries over to riding. I like her so much, I've been considering breeding my mare back to him.
