| 3rdtimesacharm - 2014-09-10 6:10 PM For the ones not feeding grain, how competive are your horses? Any 1-2 d horses? I am a 3D rider, but my girls can get on them and run 1D. First video is my daughter Megan, her first run in a couple of years, came into town and hopped on him- 6th or 7th place 1D, about 130 runners. She rode a little tentative since first run in a while- she used to send him hard to the first. Second video is my daughter Morgan, she lives at home but is not interested in riding anymore. She will go every now and then. This run was from last winter- just out of the 1D money-200 entries. Third video is me- I think we won the 2D with this run. Megan and cowboy Lomax IMG 0001 Spider

| Check blue seal out, was talking to,the feed rep at lexington, va nbha regionals. She was showing me the stats on the regular feeds and hay stretcher. I usually feed low starch and they have on was some joint suppliement. The also have sunshie plus which is a ration balancer, is kinda close to,renew gold on price and calories. Even there hay stretcher has low starch. And there cheap feed is very low starch not reallly much different that safechoice. There formulas are fixed. Until i talked to,her i did not know, how good ther grain is. I love there hay stretcher imuse to,use it as treats. And o,g there banana treats your horses will kill you for them. |

Also more 1D horses than there is room to list. Getting the digestive system to function properly allows a horse to perform to it's genetic potential. Many of the best performance horses in the World in every type of performance event have moved to this more efficient and safe type of feed program. |

My horses are full of energy, they are on 80 acres and constantly running, bucking and playing. They have bright eyes and bright shiny coats. I brought our pole horse out of retirement to go to ANHA so I started giving him Renew Gold at the beginning of July. His faded out black coat went to a deep rich color, Casualdust even commented on how dark he was for a summer coat. He ran great for me at Waco. |

Location: MD | I'm on the no grain bandwagon at like 95%. and my horses have never looked better.
I feed them enough grain to have a few bites coming in and going out because my one horse will break doors down in order to get it. I only go through a 50lb bag a month for two horses, if that tells you how little I feed! It's more for my Appy's happiness than anything, He LOVES that TC complete so much he goes bananas for it! It doesn't seem to matter to either of my horses that they're getting so little, so I am okay with it.
They are on meadow grass/orchard grass with a flake of alfalfa each day for the summer. 14+ hours of grazing + a round bale with free choice minerals and salt. My horses have seriously never looked better, and they feel so great to ride! I am in total amazement how simple this fix was, and how long I let my horses go before I fed them this way. It makes me feel so much better knowing I don't have to pump them full of grains and supplements to make them look and feel this great.
Before it seemed like I was pouring grain to them and kind of skimping on hay and was so frustrated because they just didn't feel that great. Obviously I wasn't using my brain! |

I have one similar to this.
Hang it up, put your bucket on it, set scale to 0, add your feed, and the weight is of whatever feed you add to the bucket.
Also, most pelleted feeds (not extruded) are approximately 3 standard measuring cups = 1 pound. |

Mine are..........I am not totally grain free but the amount mine get is minimum to what some feed....it is a Purina feed but many consider it the "cheap" feed.......but I consider the fact I feed alfalfa cubes is what really keeps the bloom on mine........and trust me they have the bloom.........hay is Tift 85........recently have access to some alfalfa hay so I am thinking dropping the grain even more! |

Location: ARKANSAS | ok i have a question?? For those of you feeding the alfalfa cubes, how do you feed them? Do you break them up? It looks to me like they would get choked on them since the cubes are so hard, also How many cubes do you feed a horse at one time??? I have never fed anything alfafa before..so please enllighten me....i was told to feed my horse alfafa along to help buffer his stomach cause he has ulcers( he is also being treated for ulcers). |

I think it depends on the condition of the horses teeth. I fed cubes for a while but I soaked them before feeding. I never felt comfortable just feeding then whole and dry. But I know several people that do with no problem. |

Crazy to ask but will you come out with a blend without as much flax? Figures my horse is allegeric to flax. I had him on Renew Gold, he looked and acted great, but bloated up after 2 months because of the reaction. Love the concept, simple ingredients, but I have the fluke horse. |

As simple as the Renew Gold formulation looks, there is a very complicated relationship between the ingredients. The Flax that is in the product causes specific responses from other ingredients, and needs to be there. Sorry about the sensitivity that your horse has to flax. That is rare. |
