So I managed to escape for a weekend and come home to run some barrels. School has been hectic with a lot of tests so I haven't been able to come home in three weeks. My sister is the only reason I get to run because she is keeping all of my horses in shape for me while I'm away. I've been too scared to move them to a boarding stable until after the season in case they do something stupid being in a new environment.

So, rightfully so I guess, little sister outran me on saturday to win the barrel race :P.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUjeXjGl7UU
Bunny didn't have a great run…I am learning she really doesn't like deep ground and she slipped at the first and wouldn't dig in at the third. I should have known the set up wouldn't be right for her but lesson learned…
It was Lucy's third run back after 1.5 years off to have a baby among other things. She worked GREAT and I yanked on her bad at the third.. should have left her alone but old habits die hard I guess. Anyway despite that she won 3rd in the 1D being .02 off my dang little sister :P.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfroQXPhJLw

Anywho now I'm headed back to school for another two weeks without riding :(. I have to miss a $5000 added race an hour from home.. in the pen Bunny has won in twice... but I don't trust myself to study with all that going on. LOL.

Thanks :). What was also awesome is my best friend squeaked in at the end and got 2nd in the 1D… so the three of us are now in the top 3 in our association's standings.. My friend first, my sister second, and I bumped up to tied for third. Considering at the beginning of this year I had absolutely nothing to run in the 1D, I am thrilled.

Β I agree

Yes I make sure to thank her and tell her how much I appreciate her! And I told her she can run Lucy when I can't make it home… LOL

Nice runs for both of you!  How nice it must be to have a sister like that.
