Location: Beggs, OK | They have changed the ground since then and it's not nearly as fast. I just looked at results and they've been winning it with a 14.0 to a 14.4 in the past 4 rodeos. It's definitely not a short 13 second pattern with the ground the way it is. That pen has always been a long 13 to short 14. |

Location: Texas | HARD ground... If your horse isn't rodeo seasoned then you may have some ground trouble. I've seen pro's go in there and take some falls. Honestly that's why I've never ran there. I do wonder if they will bring in better ground for the semi finals? If not they run EVERY friday and saturday, performance, slack, and exhibitions. The turnout hasn't been that awesome lately, I think for the american semi's it will be low to mid 13's winning, especially if they bring in better dirt |

Location: Texas | That is why I am asking. LONG SHOT I WILL EVEN GET TO THAT POINT.. but, I was surprised that's the arena they picked for the semi finals. I was expecting Mesquite again.

Location: Texas | I have to disagree with whoever said the ground is hard. I have run there a few times in the last 2 months and it is anything but hard. If anything is has been on the deeper side. In years past the ground was harder and a low to mid 13 was good. Now a 13.8 to 13.9 is smoking and people are usually placing with a 14.4 or better depending on how many show up and how many holes they pay. |

Location: The edge of no where | I think the old dirt that was replaced was quite a bit harder than what is currently in the building. I've only been a couple of times this year, but really thought the ground was pretty darn decent for rodeo ground. |

Location: East Texas | I was just there last month and I agree the ground was not hard in my opinion. Ive never had a horse struggle with the ground either, and when I was there last month they had a pretty good turn out. |

It has been a while since I was there so don't know about the ground but like you I think it will be a mess because it is just not set up parking wise and spectator wise for a bunch of people. But then what do I know. |

Location: Beggs, OK | My daughter ran there on a mare that she's seasoning a couple of months ago and didn't have any ground trouble at all. That rodeo sells out all the time and they sell way more tickets than they have seating for so it can get pretty miserable in there with the crowd. I can't imagine what it will be like for the Semifinals.
I think it's going to be excellent watching with that set up though! |

This was my thinking, also. I like Mesquite because it is close and has plenty of parking and is set up for easy access. Northside, not so much. |

Were probably on the same track.. I haven't been in a few months so sounds like they fixed the problems, I saw a video from tonight and the ground looked MUCH deeper than what I had seen. |
