Location: Northeast SD | Anybody have any personal experience with doing a Horse Hair Analysis on their horse? Thoughts?? |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I've had them done on my horses. I had it done after my mare was diagnosed with kidney stones last spring. Of course the vets basically said nothing they could do and to put her down, not the answer I was looking for thank you very much. So went home and did a ton of research on line, not a lot there because that is in fact most vets advice. Had a hair analysis done on her, found her immune and lymph systems were weakened too so put her on herbs for her kidneys and immune and lymph systems. Feet are looking so much better, in fact did not have to have pads the last 2 shoeings. Then had an analysis done on her again about a month ago, lymph and immune systems looked good so was told to finish out the herbs we had for that and then could take her off those.
Also had my other two horses done, my big mare was diagnosed with head shakers syndrome last year about January and I had her on an RX product for it which worked well but it is an antihistamine and after having her hair test done found even though she had had her teeth done and rechecked her hair analysis came back TMJ on the right side, put her on the herb for Joints and no longer have to give her the RX product.
My geldings came back that he was sore in his right front foot...I hadn't told the woman that did the hair analysis but about a month before I had the test done he had come up lame in the right front. He had bruised his bulb badly. He is on the Hoof and Hair product. I will have them all rechecked in another month. |

Location: Dubuque,IA | I had analysis done by Uckele health and it was fantastic. Showed a lot of imblances on the horse and it was right on as far as his problems and fed the recomennded supplements and I have a new attitude and winning horse.I would highly recommend their hair analysis.

Location: God's country...aka TEXAS | I used Horse Hair Analysis with Dr. DePaulo for my horse and it was wonderful. We found that he had an extremely high level are arsenic in his system, which was causing him to be "off" and have behavior issues. I used the personal supplement and within a few months he was back to himself!! |

Location: Northeast SD | Wow! I did not know that they could determine some of these things through HHA.. I thought it would jsut show the toxicidity levels.. Awesome that it is helping your horses out! 
Makes me kind of nervous to see what my horse could be off on since I spend alot of time researching supplements. |

And yes, I did end up purchasing the herbs from her too. Suspicious it may be but can you explain why when I put my mare on the herb that was suggested that I no longer had to have her on the RX drug for the head shaker syndrome that she had been diagnosed with in January?
I would be a lot more suspicious if it didn't seem to have worked for her, but I have my mare back, she can be ridden without jumping and leaping and batting her head. I'd rather accomplish that with an herb than an RX antihistamine drug. |

Location: Sunny So Cal | I have always thought hair analysis to be interesting but have never done it on my horses. I have always done blood anaylsis instead because it tells you what is going on in the present moment and hair tells you what was going on or how things have changed throughtout your horse other the months. Both test good and both interesting. |

Looks like they are about the same thing except uckele is 35 cheaper but also takes 2 weeks longer to get results. HHA asks a few more questions about your horses health than uckele does but they are basically the same info |
