My three year old got kicked in the behind this weekend and has a nice swollen spot about the size of my hand in diameter right on the back side of his rump.  I hosed it good when we got home and put some sore no more on it.  Out of bute and will get some today.  Anyone have any other options to make this feel better and go down soon?

mix furicin and dmso (use rubber gloves ) and rub it on him and it will take the swelling right out!!!

If your horse had a seperation in the muscle there, he may always have a bulge there. I had one like this. You could literally feel the hole and it popped out a bit. Totally cosmetic though. lol

Well, I think he learned a lesson.  He is pushy towards other horses when tied at the trailer.  He met his match yesterday.   Thanks for the replies.  I hope the bulge will go away and the muscle isn't torn or separated.
