So my horses have been on RG I guess for a few months now. I had a big tub of Forco im finishing up. So im feeding them together. My question is do I need to continue the Forco or is Renew Gold got the digestion system covered? Im about out of my Forco and was wondering if I still should feed it or is it overkill??? My horses are finally looking fabulous after a little of a rough start switching over to the Renew Gold from their grain. I dont want to overdo anything or spend more money than I need to!

I feed Renew Gold and FORCO together.
Love the combo.

Forco is a good, well made product with the proper focus on hind gut efficiency through the use of prebiotics. Renew Gold also has very significant prebiotic support in it's formulation. I feel that if your hay quality is good, Renew Gold has you covered there. If you are on a coastal Bermuda program, or other hard to digest hay, there may some benefit to using Forco in the program. Just as there may well be a benefit to adding Renew Gold to a Coastal Bermuda diet that has been using only Forco. They are compatible, and we will take all the help that we can possibly get in digesting Coastal.
Most of our customers do not feed additional digestive aids with Renew Gold. I personally do not. That being said, we have customers that are die hard Forco users who would not be without it, and love it along with Renew Gold.
I know this has not been a clear answer, so I will say this. There is not a lot to be gained by adding Forco to a Renew Gold diet that uses good quality hay and pasture. If you have a hard time keeping good quality hay in your program you need to get everything out of it that you can, and Forco may give the diet enough of a boost in efficiency to see a worthwhile difference.

I like that I can add more FORCO when we have bad stroms come in or when he is put under stress. It's a great product and is why I've been using it since 2006. I love the way it works alongside with all the THE products.

Ok. That makes perfect sense. My horses have been on forco for as long as I can remember. My coastal hay isnt great but isnt horrible. Im keeping my eye out for better but ive got a barn full of hay right now to get us thru winter. Hopefully next year ive got a new source lined out which is really good quality. And pasture... little to none..
