Location: WA		 While I am on recovery from surgery, the horses are just getting lunged.  I have noticed I don't like the shoulder muscle on my one mare.  I might be able to find a pic of her somewhere.  What exercises do you do to build that up?  Please spare me the list of supplements because it won't happen.  I am old fashioned in that regard and want to achieve it with hard work and exercise not with more things to add to her grain.

I ponied my gelding 3 miles 4 times a week this summer. It took 5 weeks to see improvement in his shoulder area but it finally happened. Sorry but we didn't take pics but it was noticeable and even ppl at shows would commit on how he had bulked up. I ponied 1 mile long trot 1 mile lope 1 mile long trot then cool down for a half mile just a walk. All off the gator.

We did do some hills but not many.
