Location: Alabama | Okay so I have a few last min questions...
What is there to do besides watch and shop all week? What do you do to pass time?
Is there a Walmart or grocery store anywhere around? Do you take your groceries or get them there?
Where can my mom (who doesn't get to go) watch online?
Is there room between the stalls to leave my hay? Or are they pretty tight?
Sorry, I've never been, don't know what to expect!

Location: west of East Texas | There is a Walmart Supercenter and several different grocery stores. There are a lot of places to eat in Perry and Warner-Robbins. There is a pretty good size mall in W-R. We stayed really busy and never found ourselves with nothing to do. We had always planned on taking some day trips while we were there but just didn't get around to it. There are several western stores in the area. Some friends did some wine tour and peach orchard tours. Some went bowling or to the movies. Some went to Atlanta. I always wanted to go to Hilton Head.
A lot of people put a bales of hay in front of their stalls but I wouldn't after seeing how many dogs hike on them and how many horses steal a bite every time they walk by. If you have a wagon, bring it to tote saddles, feed, hay etc. back and forth to your trailer. Bikes are real popular also. We ended buying one from Walmart just for the week.

Location: somewhere between here and the next barrel race | Keep updated on FaceBook (with current leader and random photos). Go to FB group name= "Official NBHA" https://www.facebook.com/pages/Official-NBHA/153620754834983 . And, free webcasts all week at www.barrelhorsenews.com/videos/webcasts , just scroll down to NBHA World Championship Show Oct. 26-Nov. 1, 2014. - Yep, just 1 exit NORTH on I-75 is Walmart, Kroger, restaurants, and more. - (No mall , unless you travel north to Warner-Robins, or even a little further north, to Macon). - Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, GA, (and yes, inside Reaves Arena) has public WiFi, and their own radio station broadcasts the announcer with all runs (87.9 FM,, I think). Radio is ony good for a short-range, about 1/4 mile, from Reaves Arena.... but it can be heard in your truck, or RV if you're anywhere on the Fairgrounds. www.gnfa.com
