Special Somebody Posts: 3951 Location: Finally horseback again....	There is a product I use called Dermagel. It soothes the skin, doesnt require bandaging and will help the hair grow back faster. Works well for open wounds and burns too. Dr Williams at Lone star park got me started on it, it is great. Valley vet Supply carries it. Comes from Switzerland I think.

Sock eating dog owner Posts: 4557 Location: Where the pavement ends and the West begins Utah	This will work. You'll need a spray bottle. mix Vinegar ,epsom salt, green alcohol, water equal portions. Spray the leg where needed swelling and cut area. Apply egg whites to skinned part of the leg. wash next day and apply again. swelling will be gone shortly and the hair will grow back.

I washed twice a day and sprayed with Vetericyn and that stuff is amazing. Granddaughter was riding him in a month and he has a little bitty scar now.

Cold hose until swelling is gone and if the skin starts cracking or getting dry looking after you're through with the cold hosing phase I would maybe put on some bag balm or corona cream or something moisturizing.

	Thanks for the suggestions everyone The reason I was hoping to get the hair growing back quickly is because she is my 2015 futurity prospect and I need to be hauling her to exhibitions. I just want to avoid the death glares when I am able to start riding her again :) She was doing well this morning, seems happy - just sore. I cold hosed this morning and sprayed with vetericyn after, since its all I have on hand right now.
