Location: Do I hear Banjos? | I will be tanning the hides from the deer I take this season. One will be a gift for a family member with a log home that really admired mine last year and I know she would love to have one. It's a good deal of work to tan the hide...but well worth the effort.

Location: Bandera, TX | Last year I baked a variety of cookies and wrapped them up nicely. Also, I made body scrubs (coconut oil, sugar, essential oil, food coloring) and put it in a nice mason jar type container. |

| I don't but my SIL does. She does alot of baking and last year she made tie blankets that my kids LOVED. She makes the best brownies ever. We love these gifts and look forward to her baking every Christmas. |

I made my husband skin out his Bull he got this year so I can tan it. I've been thinking that I might try to make it into a blanket but i'm not sure how to do it and I think I'm going to have to wait until I shoot a cow or bull to make it big enough to have clean, straight edges... |

Location: In The Snow, AZ | I'm hoping that's mine and hubbys plan this year. It gets too expensive trying to buy gifts for everyone.
I'm thinking nice gift baskets. Homemade cookies. Assorted coffees. Homemade Biscottis. Maybe make some sour cream or cream cheese mints. A nice mug. Just keep it simple. |

Location: Arkansas | I bought a cheap beading loom from Hobby Lobby, and am playing around with it. Going to make some over and unders and bracelets for presents. After Christmas, I may try some belts. I have NO desire to do it for income though--I want to keep it fun! |

Location: Deep in the heart of Texas. | I plan on doing like brownies in a jar or something like that this year where you put the dry goods in the jar and they get to do the rest . That is my plans for my friends and family this year. Last year I made cookies and banana nut bread or applesauce bread some people like blueberry bread and others like lemon bread. I might also do that this year but if so I need to get started soon lol. |

Location: The South | Perfect timing for this thread! My husband's family always buys gifts for each person, but it's so ridiculous to me. They spend around $100 per person! There's only one kid so I just want to buy gifts for him and do homemade snacks for everyone else. I just told my MIL this week so hopefully I don't cause a family feud LOL. |

Location: Bastrop, TX | I have always given homemade gifts. I love making things and do jewelry as well as other things. Hopefully I can get the pictures to load and you can what I have done so far. I took a photo of my son and his family and printed it in black and white then put it on burlap. I add lace and ribbons and trinkets.

Location: In The Land of Cotton | Good idea on the painted bottles. We found some on the farm and my daughter did that too. They were terribly expensive at the Pottery Barn and looked just as nice.
I like the gifts that are "stacked" ingredients in a jar. I do the scrubs too. For work if there are a lot of people, I buy coffee mugs for a dollar at the dollar store with Christmas motifff's on them. Buy a bulk bag of candy and fill them up.
Pinterest has so many good ideas for inexpensive items to make. |

Location: Texas | My mom and sister will be coming to my house for Christmas. In lieu of gifts, we are taking turns planning activities to do. Each person gets a day. My goal this year is to make Christmas more about family, spending time together, and getting back to celebrating the birth of Christ.
In the past, I have made blankets for people. The best DIY horse gift I ever did was a equine first aid kit to keep in the trailer for my husband. |
