Please tell me your story:  Why did you do it?  Did you find your horses’ problem?  If you are in Texas, where did you get it done? Cost?  Would you do it again?

Thank you for your help.

Texas A&M. I believe it was $1200.

And it was on my Blazeyface horse that I ultimately did kissing spine surgery on.

Call them and get their prices! :)

I was told by my vet that my needed it done to find her problem but didn't get to do it because it was $2500 and I had to make a two day trip out of it because had to go to a different state. I am in Montana . I would be interested in hearing about peoples experience to because I might try it after her colt is weaned next year.

I have 2 done on my horses.  The first time was a whole body scan ( you have the option of doing whole or half body)  Our gelding had a suspensory injury and we couldn't figure out if it was just suspensory or something else was wrong too.  It was just suspensory, so that did help his diagnosis.  The second horse we just did half body and that scan really didn't show us too much for her problem.  Ended up being ulcers...Would I do it again probably.  Whole body was $1400 and half was $800.  It was done a University so we got a little break for it being a teaching clinic.

Have an appointment for Dec 1st.......wish I would have done it sooner instead of treating symptoms.
I'd rather talk than go through the whole story here.  I have talked to Tana a bit about the why......message me your number at some point and I will call you after it is all said and done.

CONGRATS!! Dang, it's gonna be hard to top that one.
Im a touch ridiculous about my buckles with turquoise.. I won them in 1997 and I STILL will grab one of them before my newer ones. I can't help it, they just look better, lol..  My hubby can shame me into wearing one of the newer ones occassionally..

I'm going Dec. 1st to have the back half scan, wish I could have the whole body scan. Half is going to be around 1,200. Animal Imaging in Irving Tx. is where we are going.

I had both scans done at Purdue University.  It was a couple months ago.  They are super nice there and really helped out with the price.  Their best interest is the horse.

K-state did it for my horse, he had been slightly off found it deep in his knee. Would have been money ahead if I started with doing that.  Good luck.

I had one done in Irving, TX and it was a whole body scan for 1600. I did it looking for kissing spine and to see if there was anything else that we were missing. Ultimately he had surgery for the KS but i dont think the scan really helped in making this decision.

Bumping this up....  I know a couple of you had a scan done on Monday.  I would love to hear what you learned.

My horse has an appointment for it at A&M in a couple of weeks.....
