I was perusing and I saw this bit. I don't know why it piqued my curiosity so, but it sounds like a friggin neat bit to add to my slowly growing collection. I'm still trying to find "the" bit for my new boy. Would you use a curb strap w/ it? What kind of horse would you use it on?

 This would make a really nice bit to use with a german martingale on a youngster.   Be a nice schooling bit with a curb on something a little older.   I like it.

I've seen it a time or two. I like the idea of it and it looks like it would be great for light mouthed horses but I think I'd like it more if it had the option of having a dog-bone in the mouthpiece as well.

I've seen it before and like it as well...not ever used it. It looks like something I could easily use on my mare or on a youngster without it being too harsh, but still enough bite that they would listen.
