| Recently I purchased a Molly Powell Freedom fit standard sizes saddle. It's way to tight on her shoulders about the same area where the beast collar rings are. It fits pretty well other than that. She needs one that flares out so when she runs her shoulder is able to move under it. I recently started reading and learning about saddle fitting so I need help. Also I live in Alaska so having someone come fit her isn't really an option. The mare is a coming three year old app index about 15.1. I'll try to attack some pictures. THANK YOU! |

| Caldwell makes some great saddles- you can call them and give them your mares weight height etc. and email some pics over and they are pretty good at being helpful. There saddles are awesome to ride in to. |

Location: MN | I have a wide one too, I recently bought a foundation bred barrel horse that needs atleast an 8+ gullet and FQHB. I purchased a Marlene Mcrae Special Effx wide because the previous owner rode him in it and it fit him. I know some companies will let you take a picture of your horses back and they are able to fit it that way, Tod Slone is one I think? |

Location: Illinois | I just bought a Charmayne James C11 saddle and it has a really good amount of flare in the front for wide shoulders. It fits my big beastly mare really well. |

| I tried to add pictures but it wouldn't allow me to. It said the file was to big? What about axis tree saddles like the crown C? My horse is an appindex throughbred mare by a son of signature so she has a lot of run but I wouldn't say that she is high withered just massive shoulder esp for a three yr old.

The bars are very flared. Google Lynn McKenzie saddle fitting videos, she goes through a long description of each type of horse her three different trees available are designed to fit.
I have the new Nueva and have been seriously impressed with the number that it fits. |

I think the only horses the Nueva is going to be too tight for is barrel backed horses with no withers. I've been very pleased with how it's fitting my triple A off the track horse with the skinny spine and huge hip and shoulders, my cowbred w/withers, my long and lanky, and my he-man big horse. Horses with a fuller topline need less pad and vice versa.
Her videos make the three very clear. I bought the Nueva based on her description of it, and am elated with the fit. I really would like to have another one, if only I could convince her to have a whopping sale!!! |

| I have a lazy l coats and I love it. It is the regular tree and has flared bars. They also have a wide tree! I am going to try and post a pic of the front of my saddle. It is so comfortable and I plan to buy another one as soon as I can. |
