Went to one several years ago when she had the conformation specialist there. Loved it. She is a really nice lady and I learned alot there. Definitely want to go back to one.

It has been at least 10 years since I have been to one, but I would go again in a heartbeat. It was a good clinic.

Yes, I agree. I think the lady's name was Judy. I loved talking to her, too, and learned alot from her. She had a different perspective on conformation that was very interesting. However, I don't think everyone felt that way, lol.

I e-mailed Judy and if someone would set it up she is willing to do another clinic like that one. I am just in a bad location to get something like that going.

Me too. South Texas is not very clinic friendly anymore. I was hoping with the oil field boom, rodeo would make a come back here, but not at all this time.

I went to her clinic back in 2000,  liked the clinic, but too many helpers like going to Joseys.  When I pay the big bucks I rather have 1 on 1 help like Ed Wright, I have learned more from him than anyone else. Sorry to say I really didn't learn that much from LM or MJ.  I feel both of these clinicians are geared more toward the green rider and/or green horse.
But it's good to go to different people to learn what or not you know.

I disagree with the her clinics being geared mostly toward the beginner. Her style is a little different from a lot of the other clinicians I have been to and I have been to several of Ed's clincs. Personally, I won't be going to anymore of Ed's clinics.

I've been to 2 and then hosted 2.  She does all the riding and pattern instruction, and her husband Murray does the videoing and video critique.   Every time I have ridden with Lynn and Murray I've gotten my horses to clock faster and understand where they need to be in the turn.  They really make it very simple, and there is lots and lots of pattern work, not lots and lots of horsemanship at the more beginner type clinics, (not that we all couldn't use more horsemanship skills, lol).
I'd say these clinics are perfect for an advanced rider who is trying to figure out where tenths are being lost in the pattern.  She is very inspirational and has a fabulous Cowboy Church every Sunday of the clinic as well.  Lynn and Murray are two of the finest human beings you could ever meet!
eta: I've been to lots of other clinics also, so I have a pretty good idea of how the McKenzie's compare to others out there-

I agree that her clinics aren't geared towards beginners.  The terminology she uses is advanced and scientifically based, beginners aren't going to grasp her concepts right away.   Although, any level of rider will get useful information from her.

Completely agree with you. The one I went to, her girls were there and they the Josey thing where Lynn was at the first, her daughter was at the second and Murray was at the third. I found it pretty beneficial doing it that way.
