Does anyone run or own any sons/daughters? What are they like?

I have one that is pointed to the fall futurities next year. He's such a sweet horse and very much a worker. He wants to please you so much and is a more sensitive kind of horse, that sometimes he thinks too much. So I really have to watch my hands and my body
position with him. But I like a more "feely" horse anyway. The only downside I noticed with him is that is took him FOREVER to grow it seemed like. He was maybe 13 hands as a long yearling and is now a nice 14.3 hands but goodness, it took him long enough!

Glad to hear you are liking yours! It seems this one will be like yours and be a slow grower too, he is maybe 14 hands at the withers and coming 3 in the spring. His hip is way high though, so he is fixing to get big.

I have a 5 yr old gelding that I have been hit and miss on as far as getting him out and running. He is a solid kind of horse kind of a hard knocker type. He can be a little sensitive at times but is super forgiving . I have hauled him a few times and he has never made a wrong move, new things don't bother him. I was worried about him because his dam tends to throw colts who can be really hard to deal with but he has been nothing but willing and eager to learn. He will start entering soon hopefully. He is out of a daughter of Raise Your Glass. I threw in a couple of pictures because I can't help myself.

I patterned one for some super nice folks who high school rodeo. Wanted to be a bit broncy a couple of times when first starting but once he wrapped his mind around barrels, was very honest with a good work ethic. Lots of natural rate and enough speed to get the job done. I'd definitely take another.

I have a coming 4 year old mare. She is a hot mess, lol! More talent and athletic ability in one hoof than most horses have in their entire body. But she gets hot, hot at the drop of a hat. LOTS of slow work with her. In talking with very well respected barrel and race horse trainers, it really sounds like the Scrutinizer geldings are pretty easy and laid back. The mares are hotter and not near as easy.

Cutnrun- Mine is a bay too! Let me see if I can get some pics of him to upload. The first is his first saddling at 2 and the second one is him this fall.
