I LOVE back on track products and have had many friends benefit from them also, but as I was thinking about the over all process of using the horses own body HEAT to create a soothing, muscle relaxing heat therapy, I also wondered about the use during the summer. It may sound like a dumb question but do your horses over sweat from them during the warm season? Is it more of a annoyance rather than beneficial during summer? Are there any different therapeutic methods you prefer during the summer? Any feed back is welcomed!

I still use my BOT frequently in the summer but I do also monitor when and how long they are left on, especially if it's hot and or they are standing in the sun at the trailer. Mostly my guys get a nice hose down with all natural linament after workouts and when hauling I ususally only put the boots on them.

I've been wondering this myself. Living in southern Az … debating between a magnetic blanket or the BOT. I know they work differently but am concerned that I won't be able to use the BOT in the summer.

I don't use my BOT in the summer- freaks me out too much since it creates heat.

I prefer PHT in the summer. :)

I use a DuraTech sheet in summer. I've had a PHT sheet too but honestly didn't see a difference between the brands.

I mostly use BOT in winter! Way too hot down here in the summer. I also use PHT in the summer!

I don't use the sheet in the summer but I will still use the quick wraps.

I live in Alberta so don't get extreme heat, but I do put the bot on at night then pull them off in the am
