I'm guessing he came out uninjured.. That's good.. but wonder what would make him do something like that.

Miraculously he is achy, but not cut up or lame. We were told by the barn manager that he was running and playing and "I've never seen a horse move that quick" and he apparently couldn't stop so decided to try and jump it, landed on top of the gate, caught a foot in it and drug it back. I'm pretty grateful the gate was a little beat up already from previous horses otherwise I feel like this would have been a pretty grave turnout.

No fireworks involved?

nope, this was about 4 o'clock yesterday, about an hour before feeding time with plenty of light. The horses usually play pretty hard and "put on a show" for everyone a few times a day. They are normally pretty active and we have been making some really positive changes in his feet so he's been feeling especially good. thankfully we were home, everyone was outside preparing for their little NYE party. The stars apparently aligned for this guy yesterday. I'm in such shock this wasn't gruesome.

I am glad that he is ok. Just goes to show that 'showing off' stuff can get you in trouble.

Hmm, yes, yes. This is fantastic abstract art created by a horse of higher intelligence. We must sell it on Ebay for a MINT!
