| So far love the stuff for my thin soled colt. He just had pads put on and was wondering if it was OK to squirt under the pad? It has a nice hardening effect and also numbs the sole to make them more comfortable while he heals. THanks! |

Location: run2win land | yes, I've used it for years. Very well known around the racetrack especially with the harness horses. Those horses are made of steel. Great on thin soles and for thrush. Very important to scrub into sole with brush and make sure is any drips get to cornet band to use petroleum jelly or something because it will burn. |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | I've had it on hand for many years and since having a new farrier, that doesn't take out too much sole, I haven't had to use it in a long time. I use to get it at the race track tack shop. I ordered some a few years ago from Big D. http://www.bigdweb.com/Jim-Rickens-Hoof-Care/productinfo/1148/ |

| Reading about it ... says it is good for stone bruises as well as thin soles ...anyone used it for that? I've got a mare that pulled a shoe and bruised her foot pretty good on the frozen ground in her pen ... |

| Thanks! Our farrier supply here I'm town carries it cheap! Like less than 10 bucks a bottle. Most online places are close to 20. So far so good! I squirt like 10cc under my horses pads couple times a day! |

| Have used it for years. Don't get in on your hands though - it dries them out real bad. |

Yes great stuff but it will burn. If you spill in on yourself, get it off NOW. A colt was jacking around and I ended up with a splash on the thigh of my jeans. Figured no big deal, I would be in the house in 20 minutes or so and get the jeans off. Huge chemical burn, blistered up before I got it washed off. |

| It must affect people differently. I got a splash on my hands and all it did was stain. No burn. But yea. It's strong |

I have never had a problem beyond stains when it got on my hands, because I am incable of using it without wearing it! I guess the difference was more tender skin and prolonged contact of the soaked spot on the jeans against my leg. |

| Just an update - So I bought some - used it on the mare with the really bad stone/ ice chunk bruise ... This stuff is AWESOME! 2 days of stall rest and treating only with this (no bute or drugs) - Mare went from 3 legging it to walking nicely in a straight line on concete. Within 5 days she was back to walking no problems - Farrier was really happy with the results, I'm happy, the horse is happy - It worked great for our situation. |
