It changed owners and I think the ones who own it now don't do a lot of horse stuff, if any at all. I know they have Monster Truck stuff there.

I was told that a Cowboy Church purchased it.

You are correct, a cowboy church has put up the money for it. I've heard a lot of different rumors about it, but it's been from people who know people who go to the church. I don't have first-hand knowledge of what's going on. Supposedly the pastor of the church wants to enforce a rule that anyone having an event on a Sunday will either be required to stop their event for a church service to take place, OR wait until after the service to start their event, OR they may not have events on Sundays at all.
Like I said, this is all hearsay, so take it with a grain of salt.
That is why there are no events going on right now, it's in the process of changing owners.

The bank foreclosed on the previous owners and as far as I know, it's been in limbo.  I've heard the city wanted to purchase it and a church wanted it.... have no idea if anything is solid as of yet.

That is exactly what I heard, on top of no alcohol at the facility at anytime.

City should purchase it... JMO...

They promoted alot there anyway... PLUS that place is as BIG as half the city... LOL
Well, I hope someone gets in there and starts to book events ...

I think they will loose alot of business if they don't hold events on a Sunday... Hello.. that's half the weekend..
if they want to have an EARLY service... that would be great.... but to not have any events at all...
they won't get alot of bookings ... for the bigger shows... and then they will prob. cost to much to rent out
for the smaller Assocations...

should be intresting to see what happens...

Hope the city buys it... I have my feelings about a cowboy church and I feel a cowboy church won't do that facility justice... JMO

That place is always the hottest place to go in the summer and the coldest place to go in the winter. Hate to be negative, but I've actually been enjoying going to other facilities for a change.

You & me both.... I really liked that they moved a couple of  the BRATs to Glen Rose, much rather run there.
