Location: White Mountains of AZ | I know there's different kinds of Best Ever Pads. OG, Kush, and CEO. Then there is the Cadillac, BHS, and Fleesar under the CEO Collection. I was looking at the BHS for my gelding... what are your opinions on these? Also, My pad now is a 32x32 I believe. It stick at least 3-4" in the front of saddle and about 2" in the back. Would a 30x30 pad be better in the BHS? Anything and everything is welcome!! |

| I have the 28 x 28 Cadillac pad and its perfect under my Crown C. I'm very impressed by the quality. |

| The saddle was a tad too wide and my horse runs a little downhill The built up part helps with the down hill and the thickness helped the issue with the saddle being a little wide. I really like my set up. Previously the saddles all hit the back of his scapula because of his downhill issue. All the saddles were pushed forward. He has huge shoulders. I also have a 5 star that I like but the Cadillac is what works for this particular horse.

My boy isn't downhill per say, but he does have taller withers than some. I'm just trying to figure out what would work best before I go and buy one! But nobody around here uses them. |

Location: IL | Do yourself a favor and get a 5 Star pad. I know many on here will agree with me. I used to be a Best Ever supporter because they seemed like good pads and all the different hide options, the crystals, cutout designs, etc were a draw. My best ever pads looked horrid within a couple months time and my one was only used at shows so didn't get a lot of use. I paid $260 per pad for my custom best evers. I went with a plain black 5 star and paid I think $195.
RockyRoad on here helped me order my first 5 star pad and I will never ever own anything but a 5 star. The difference in the feel of the pad is phenomenal and the way they form to your horses back is incredible. My best ever pad never formed to my horses back, not even the one that was used for daily riding.
I've had both my 5 stars now for 2 years and they look just as good as the day I bought them! Well worth the investment.
ETA: My 5 stars are used for daily riding and at shows so they see a ton of use!

Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | Mine is a Kush. I had it custom made to be built up in the front because my gelding turns on his front end and it was throwing me up out of my saddle so the built up helps keep me more sat back. |

| I have a 5Star pad as well. I absolutely love it! It's so comfortable for both my horse and any saddle I use! I have the 7/8s thick and have my initials in my horses color. Love it. Granted mine was a gift, but when this one wears out I'll definitely be buying another  |

Sorry, did not mean to hijack thread. I ordered a custom 1" Best Ever OG Pad. It is absolutely gorgeous to look at, but evidentally way too firm for the 5yo horse I bought it for, because he hates it. After the huckle bucking incident, I put it on my 4yo and he did not have a problem with it. I use a Frontier Futurity saddle on the 5yo & a Cactus on the 4yo. I spoke with Best Ever about it and they said I should try the Kush Pad as they are much more flexible. So hence, the dilemma, should I try the KUSH or go with a 5 STAR?

Fronteire makes my saddles too but not his brand. I use a Kush daily and I think it's gotten softer and more flexible. It was pretty stiff when I got it but I love it now. I try to spray it off every couple weeks and at least once a month I'll spray it and take a soft brush and dawn dish soap and wash it. |

I use a Diamond wool 1/2 in pad under a colorful wool blanket for showing on all my mares
