Red Raider - 2015-01-09 9:46 AM Facebook post:

I would like to thank the ________ County Sheriff's Department and our neighbors for their help in identifying the person who ran through our fence the other night and for helping us get our fence repaired in a timely manner.  It's nice to know that we live in an area where everybody is concerned about keeping our roads safe and willing to take action when things go wrong.

That's very nice, but I like my letter better lol.
Lol I like them both. One side of me really wants to tell them off but the other knows it is best to kill them with Kindness. Red Raider that is perfect so if you don't mind I will use it for a post!

Boooooooo lol! It is nicer and correct thing to do, but I really, really wanted to see you post MY LETTER!!!

I can relate to your frustration.  Although my family has been out here for over 150 yrs, I try and never cause any harm to my neighbors property.  Most of them however came from the city, think they are in the country so they are entitled to do whatever they want.  The back side of my property is surrounded by a subdivision-all the houses are on 1/2 to 2 acres.  I have had them shooting guns and bullets going past my house while I am in my backyard, throwing their grass clippings to my horse and the most recent incident was with fireworks on the 4th of july.  They caught my barn on fire.  Luckily I saw it in time, fire dept was here in 2 min and I was able to save my hay that we just put in that day and not lose the whole structure.  It does no good to talk to them.  They say they are in the country, they can do what they want.

When I moved to my present location there were neighbors who thought it was 'their' neighborhood and 'their' rules ruled.  I was fine with that until we lost 3 cats in the first few months we lived here, the first of which was my first very special snow leopard bengal Tahuti.  I confronted the neighbor with the cat-eating dog and it went downhill from there.  However, I eventually got ALL the neighbors educated to leash laws.  We trapped more dogs and sent them with animal control.  We also had a neighbor who had built about half their barn on our back corner.  That came down.  I didn't want to start a war either, but when backed into a corner I will come out fighting, after lots of research to make sure I will win.

I would not apologize for calling her gs a retard (even though I don't like that word). This is one of those cases that if the shoe fits wear it. I also would not care what generation they are or how long they have been there. What happened to decent bringing up, morals and respect for others. Tell granny to put a leash on that kid and send them a bill for the fence. I'm in a good mood today so they got off easy. If my child done something like that, I cant' post what I would do to them or here... Sorry about your fence and that the poor kids can't even ride their bike down the road.

I've got your back mama. The word "retard" needs to STOP being synonymous with "stupid".

Those are some real winner neighbors that you've got there OP. I would ignore the message on FB, but save it in case there is ANY sort of "retaliation" or future issues. It sounds like she is the matriarch of those 6 generations and trying to get you into a ****ing contest so she can assert her dominance.

I feel your pain. My horses have been poisoned but could not actually prove who did it. Fortunately I had a great dedicated vet, the horses lived and that crazy neighbor moved. Last year I had a peaking tom who told me he had seen me then went to school and told everyone he had seen me naked and I was hot--I'm not. I called the constable who went and talked to the little black mf'ers mother. She captured me coming out of my driveway one morning and said that the constable had had a bunch of complaints about me telling everyone her son was peeking in my windows. I politely told her that I called the constable myself. She tried to use the black issue and when I said no one ever said anyone was black she backed off. Haven't had a problem since. Low intelligence level here. Since it has been reported, I'll shoot him next time.

About three weeks ago, my next door neighbor's kids shot my horse with a pellet gun. I was outside when they shot her. They shot their own dog about 5 minutes later. Three days later, my horse was three legged lame. Called the constable and he said I could file charges or he could go talk to them. Since my neighbors, like yours, are vindictive, I told him to go talk to them. That has worked well other than I have a $170 vet bill. I have to live next door to these people. I have lived here 33 years and I an not moving. They have lived here a shorter period of time.

I recommend that you call the sheriff's dept and report the incident. Let them handle it. KEEP the license plate. If they will not at least talk to the neighbors, talk to a lawyer. I really think that the kid will take care of himself. If he can't drive any better than that. He will probably kill himself. If he does be sure to send a sympathy card to show you have no hard feelings.
