| Serious question to ponder. If you have a colt that is a potential candidate for futurites, will running him in a timed barrel race at the end of a clinic void his eligiblity? |

I don't believe it does, but am not sure about prizes.........we thought we had a plan and this popped into Kinsey's head. I guess opting out of the final evaluation is something we could consider. |

| Yes, Kinsey will be 18 so we are holding him for the 5 year old WPRA futurities...........
You know, assuming he is ALIVE, sound, and makes a horse. All unknown at this point, but we want the option to run at them. |

Location: Kentucky | You could run for "time only". Say her time won it, the person with the next best time would win the money or prize. I see people do that so they are running with the open classes and their time, ground, and pressure is the same. A better way of comparing where their horse is with their competition. |

It can't be even for a ribbon or placing. You could ask them to consider it an exhibition at the end of the class |

Location: In The Land of Cotton | I would run him and have the announcer say this is a time only run. And make sure you have it on video being said. That way you can still be evaluated. Keep the tape because some person will pop up later and try and get you in trouble. |

Location: MD | As others have stated, you can enter him in it, but make sure that it is marked as time only, be sure that it is announced as a time only and make sure to have photographic and video evidence of such. Sounds drastic, but trust me, somebody, somewhere will know that run was made and will call you out on it. As long as you are not in contention for any prize, not even a "most improved" award, you are fine. |

This was my concern, and as usual, thank you for the great advice. I don't even know how he will turn out due to some issues with an injury, but.............just in case, I want him eligible. |
