Location: California | More specifically ones that are halter or pleasure bred top AND bottom. Training process, speed, athleticism and where they finished out as far as a barrel horse goes How are their minds? Photos and videos welcome =)
I rode one when I was younger that was 100% halter bred and she was gorgeous and really cool to ride. Little front endy but had a cool style and was such a nice mover. |

Halter baby through and through and really pretty to boot. He was very athletic and quick. At one time, i believe he's been out run by now, he broke a arena record on poles. He's VERY smart and learns quickly, but fought a lot of soundness and lameness issues. Due to a lot of that and he was my first horse so I wasn't educated enough at the time to help fix him. He's now retired and living at my parents. He's now the perfect little putt putt horse for kids as he loves them to pieces. I will fill this thread with photos just cause i wannaaa!! He would get a little front endy and was pretty ratey so it was nice you just had to stay out of his way and kick(which I sucked at at the time.) He was very quirky when it came to racing. He'd never run back into the alley, he'd lose his mind if the arena wasn't ready and you had to re-set him up to get him in the gate, and he's a total diva and will stand there all day if you want to make him pretty because he loves it! :D
ETA: and I promise I have more than one shirt to race in these were just all of the good pictures!

Location: Middle of NoWhere! | I have a 9yo daughter of LT KID out of a MY SKIP VANZI daughter. She looks identical to her sire! Amazingly bred and build. Shes finished in barrels, poles, halter and western pleasure (she needs a tune up cuz in WP is to slow for me (:) Great mind and handle with lots of speed and power, she loves to use her butt too! (shes for sale also) Highly recomend a halter bred horse for performace sports. |

Location: East Tennessee but who knows?! | I have 2 heavily bred halter/pleasure horses. (Impresssive, Ima Cool Skip, Conclusive ; Impressive Conclusive) Neither are barrel horses but I've used them for cattle sorting, extreme cowboy races, shown some ranch. One is admittedly an explosive brat mainly because he likes to play and he anticipates and is too smart but he's won a one man sorting for me and there's not a harder trying horse if you find something he likes. The other is a lazy as all get out but if he knows he's got to work he'll try hard. Both would make good rope horses if I just roped!
I don't like putting QH in a box based on breeding. They were founded as the most versatile breed and we've ruined them with specializing I think. |

Location: Texas | I have a solid colored paint that is halter bred. She is a 2D 3D mare. Very athletic and extremely fast. I needed to run her more, but she always got put on the back burner when I was hauling my kids. Now, my daughter is starting to run her. Love her to death.
She has Impressive a ways back. Impressive had running blood in his pedrigree.

She runs 1D/2D locally 3D at big shows. She's a little quirky. Personality wise she's great for me but picky about who can mess with her. She loves to be loved on by me, not so much by other people. She paws and kicks if she's left in a stall. She kicks other horses in the warm up pen. She was spooky when I bought her as a 4yr old and still spooks at 10yrs old. So I gave up on making her a trail horse. She's a very easy keeper. She doesn't get fat and keeps her muscle tone without a lot of effort. She always does a little buck when you start to warm her up to run. She can get hot and will only run if she wants too. If she don't want to run it down dr matter how much kicking and whipping you do, she's not gonna run hard.

Location: Somewhere around here | This was a mare I only had a for a few years, and she would still be with me if I didn't have had to sell her, but I know she was broke and trained to be a halter and western pleasure APHA. Did alright in her younger years, had some points, but man could she fly!! Nice stocky mare with coloring, ohh she was perfect but definitely had a personality!

Love, love, love her! She is 2d/3d locally, and SAFE. So much personality, and I may be biased, but I don't think shes too hard on the eyes...  Her sire was APHA Reserve Champion Halter Stallion in the 80s(forget exact year).

Location: California | Thank you guys =) I am looking at two pretty seriously right now. Both have great conformation in my opinion and that is the most important thing I care about when looking at horses. One is 4 and very green, one is 2 and not broke but had ground work. I just sold my good horse and am looking for something young that won't break the bank. I feel like most barrel bred horses are outrageously expensive and I have honestly had better luck with not bred through the roof barrel horses for some reason. I am looking at one today and the other is much farther and I would be heading there next weekend with trailer to more than likely pick her up. |

He looked like a pleasure horse (however, he had really nice low set hocks), rode around like a pleasure horse, but that horse was wicked quick! He had a ton of heart and was a pleaser!
I would own another bred similar to him. |

Location: Northwest | http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/invest+n+allicat She is all pleasure bred on the bottom (but like someone else said, a lot of these great pleasure sires have the breeding to go any direction but have gotten labeled as only pleasure horses). This mare is my favorite horse I've ever owned. I've posted about her a few times. Bought her from a Pleasure barn as an almost 10 year old who hadn't been rode since she was two. Had 60 days put on her; spent last year just riding. I've just started her on the pattern and she is a natural. So athletic and quick. She has taken to the barrels like a duck to water. She loves it, but only time will tell how she'll finish out. |
