Josey Ultimate Cash by Circle Y
What are your opinions/experience's with this saddle?
I am wanting to go back to a tree'd saddle after riding in the Tammy Fischer for about 2 years now. I feel like I am just not able to ride like I used to in this saddle and find myself using the horn a lot. I also do not like how the stirrups are on a D ring. But I still want the feel of security that the deeper seat and 5 inch cantle gives. I was thinking that the Ultimate Cash may be my best bet to start switching back without making too much of a drastic change all at once.

Love my Josey ultimate cash! I picked it because it fit my mare the best. She is turny like a cat. My feet don't get behind me and I sit deep and feel secure in the turns but I can still stand up leaving the turns. When I tried the treeless, I didn't feel like I would be able to do that.
It will all depend on how the tree fits your horse, though. I would see if there is some place where you can order it and try it on your horse first.

That's where I am at right now, I don't feel like I can 'get up' like I need to. I also do not like the D ring rigging they have for the stirrups. Does the Cash have this also? Or are they hung more like a regular tree'd saddle?
Thanks for your input!!

I have a josey ultimate starlight. I felt that the horn of the cash was a little too high. Mine has a deep seat but the horn is not quite so high. I had visions of being impaled on the horn

It has a three way rigging for the girth. The stirrups are hung like a regular treed saddle. The saddle I got already had the stirrups turned, which was really nice. But, I don't know if they all come like that or not.

Has anyone tried the Ty Mitchell? How is it different from the Ultimate?

I use to have a MJ and I think it was the ultimate. I loved the way it rode. If it wasn't for a horse I bought I thought it was making sore
(ended up not the saddle
) then I would still probably be riding in it today. I loved the tall horn and forward hung stirrups. and the the way rigging.
