Is there any way to physically keep your stirrups forward? I just got a used Crown C and like the saddle except that although a little heavy, it also throws my feet and legs back a bit, has anyone ever done anything to manually keep there stirrups in place to keep them from sliding back? etc, duct tape.....?

On my roping saddles I take a strip of innertube and half hitch it to my cinch buckle then put my stirrup thru the loop, works great!

Best way is to take it to a saddle repair/maker and have them hobble them, that way they are secure.

Some people use nylon wrap around the stirrup leather at the base of the tree then secure to the tree with the screw below the pommel on the side

You can use a stirrup hobble run it through your fender back strap and secure it to your cinch ring. This will allow your lower leg to but give the full backward tilt.

I agree, take it to a saddle shop and they can block your stirrup. That way you still have motion rather than hobbling it to your cinch.
