 I Am Always Right
Posts: 4264
Location: stray dump capital of the world | Scott and Carol, y'all have been on my mind today and while scrolling through life's events on FB today, I came across a post of one of my friends going through a difficult time. What her uncle wrote made me think of you, so I'll repeat his words: Grief never ends...but it changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith...It is the price of love. It may be something he got somewhere, or it may be his own words. Which ever is the case, I hope it brings you peace. |

Thank you, and so true. Grief is actually an expression of love when you think about it. Those who love much, grieve much. |

That reminded me of what one of my best friends told me when we had a scare with my old boy-----she said if we love them, they're gonna break our hearts, cause we're gonna lose them. But isn't it worth more to have known and loved them? |

Tis better to have loved and lost: Than never to have loved at all. |

Location: west of East Texas | I am so sorry for your loss! Unfortunately, the price of truly loving a horse like this is the grief we go through when we lose them. But I wouldn't trade the experience and I know you wouldn't have either. |

Location: Kansas | I remember handling the loss of my parents and two brothers with grief but dignity. The loss of a small white dog named Lewis 15 years ago I will never get over. Something about those four-legged buddies. In looking at your pictures, I see that you and your horse can both be labeled "special." Very sad, very sorry, Scott. |
