Location: marion, ar		Help! My brother-in-law is 11 and TINY (like needs a 12in saddle) he doesn't get to ride much and is very timid. We haven't been able to find him a saddle that actually fits him and sits him correctly and still fit his big shoulder appendix qh that we got him AND that we can afford. The more we thought about it, the more we really think we want him in a treeless saddle. BUT we can't afford a Bob Marshall or circle y...even used, our max is 500. So what I was wondering is what about one of the cheaper ones, like a hilason, would it be ok on his horse (he's only like 75lbs)? He'll probably only ride in it a year/year and a half, that's one reason we don't wanna try to save up and spend any more on a saddle for him cause as soon as he has a real growth spurt he would out grow it. But we really think a treeless would tremendously help him learn to ride and make him feel more comfortable because he could feel her move better and a treeless really helps hold you on.

Location: North Dakota		Have you tried a corriente?  I am surprised at how good they fit a wide shouldered. round no withered horse.  IMO, I would probably look at the buckaroo saddle instead of the barrel racer for your brother in law, the barrel saddles have a lot of "free swing" in the fenders.
