I hang out around 18-20%.

ETA: I'm 6'0" tall and 147-150 pounds. I certainly think that my weight and body fat percentage effects my riding.

Yay, someone that posted height.

I'm the average height for an American woman, and 140lbs, plus or minus depending on water weight fluctuations. I would guess myself around 23-24% BF at the moment. I'd like to be around 18-20%. 15% is REALLY lean and would be hard to maintain.

Hummmm.... I want to know, but then again I don't!  Ignorance is bliss! Just kidding.  I'll have to see if my gym has a scale and that can estimate it.

I don't know mine but it's a crap ton higher than it should be. I'm working on it though! My doctor told me my ideal weight would be about 180. A lot of people would look pretty tubby at 180 but I'm a giant so I'd be a lean, mean, riding machine lol.

I haven't had mine checked since I was in college. I am doing a fitness program at my work and I am going for a bodpod test on Monday. I am somewhat scared  .

The information shows I have to sit in a spaceship type of machine and should be very accurate.

Bod Pod General Information
  • Testing is highly accurate, safe, and quick, with a complete analysis in about 10-minutes.
  • Uses the most advanced technology available today.
  • Easy and suitable for all types of populations including the obese, disabled, elderly, and children.
  • Provides excellent repeatability and tracking.
  • Bod Pod body composition analysis is based on the same whole-body measurement principal as underwater weighing but using patented air displacement technology instead of water.
  • The subject sits comfortably inside the Bod Pod while computerized pressure sensors determine the amount of air displaced by the person's body.
  • Bod Pod frequently asked questions
  • Bod Pod results sample

Don't be scared! They're super accurate and give you a really good check on your health needs. I really think that a full blood panel is a good indicator of metabolic function too, just to make sure there's nothing keeping the fat there besides your diet.

I'm heading for a full work up next week, and probably to another bod pod session in 6 months.

So many riders would be amazed how much muscle they've got!

I don't know mine and don't want to know.  I'm 5'7" and about 18 pounds over the weight where I lose my period (which I have done repeatedly on accident), so I'm thinking it's a healthy place to be.

I am not scared of the machine I am scared of the results lol.  Using this info along with the Polar wristband and 21 day fix I am hoping to get my butt back in shape so I can ride better.

I'm 4, 5'7 and weigh 142 with a 20.3 fat percentage. I am a personal trainer and fitness instructor. I diversify my workouts to include cardio, weight training and YOGA/Pilates. My cardio includes speed and agility days as well as kick boxing to help with coordination. I have an 80/20 rule for my eating for the week. I eat clean 80% of time and 20% I indulge but only moderately.

The thing to remember about fat percentage is, depending on your age going below say 18 to 20% Will not look as good on someone in there 40s as a younger perennial.

I do not own a scale and only weigh a few times a yr. Those #s play mental games with me. anytime I feel my clothes not fitting quite right I back off of my cheating bc food is where my problem is.

The diversity of my program definitely has made me a better rider!
