I have decided to switch to triple crown complete formula. I have a few questions for people who already feed it. Is it high energy? Do you mix it with anything else? What kind of hay do you feed with it?

I fed the complete to a 4 yr old I bought that needed weight .. I was amazed at how good it was ! I only fed her 5 lbs a day & she gained weight ! It is high energy but I didn't notice her get hotter or anything like that . I just fed a grass hay along with it. Amazing feed ;)

Ours are coming out of winter "Plump" and don't need to gain, just want to maintain muscle and body condition while they're being worked and run. We feed alfalfa.

I love the complete. I fed it for awhile to my running gelding. It's good energy but not hot.

I just now switched and not because I didn't like the feed. It's not popular around here so it was hard to get and always old. Got tired of chasing down old feed. It's a great feed tho!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE TC Complete!!! My 30 yr old gelding gets about 10lbs a day and he looks the best he has in a LONG time! I took in a old pony around Christmas and I've put 100lbs on here since then, I think she is still able to eat some hay unlike the 30 yr old but they both look great!! I do not notice it being a hot feed at all but Im feeding seniors so?? I do not mix anything else with it, I used to topdress Cool Calories or Healthy Coat and no longer need to. Its a great feed.

The pony tapes at 650 now and the chestnut is the 30 yr old. He always used to look like death come spring on senior feeds. Not anymore!

I love my triple crown but their quality control has gone down the tubes. My last few bags had big amounts of corn in them, inconsistent, etc. Since they started having nutrena bag their feed its gone down hill. I switched to renew gold and a local milled feed that is 100% ionophore free.

I have been feeding TC a few months now to my 17YO mare! I love it, I feed her both complete and senior. I mix it. I don't plan to switch anytime soon

I thought Triple Crown feeds were corn free?  I would have called TC and told them you found corn!

Love they complete formula. I feed very little because I prefer my horses eating more hay then grain. They get 1.5 lbs a day. The horses love it, never have been hot. Slick and shiny! I haven't run into a bad bag and I've been feeding it since 2012. I feel what I've been getting has been very consistent.

I have found it really depends on the Mill it comes from. I am in CA, and the bags I get from Stockton seem to be inconsistent. THe ones that come from CG ( Arizona) seem to be good. Only problem is, I cant request bags from specific mills. My feed store gets it from wherever their supplier gets it.

That is disappointing!  I love TC and havent found any corn in our bags yet.  I hope it stays that way - I would hate to change feeds.

Triple Crown is having some issues.  Go check out the FB page: Justice for Dual Peppy

I have also seen test results on some Triple Crown Sr that made a horse very sick....almost double the levels in minerals than what it was supposed to have. The horse is suffering from sulphur toxicity.

I'm also one that was having consistency problems and it goes back to 2013. They swore to me that they were taking care of the problem. It took them well over a year to take care of that problem and my feed was coming from MN (Mineola, TX). They no longer are using this mill.

The corn you are seeing in your feed is from a clean out. I was also getting this in my TC Sr. They use corn in between milling different feeds to clean out the feed that was being milled previously.

We are also having problems getting feed that isn't already 60 days and older and according to TC, 45 days in the summer is too old and 90 days in the winter is too old to feed.

My horse started to have bad gas and his tail was always in the air. I thought it was from the alfalfa I got in. Went and bought from another source and did the same with my coastal hay. I stopped his beet pulp and it wasn't until I stopped the Triple Crown SR is when the gas problem stopped and I know this for a fact as I went back and gave it to him again with the same problem. Thank God I was only feeding him 2 rounded cups a day of TC SR. I can't believe how fast he started to look like crap. Within just a few weeks after stopping feeding the TC SR, he is back acting normal and looks good again.

OK PEEPS! Help me out here! EVERYONE who had problems or lost horses while feeding the Triple Crown Nutrition, Inc. feed that was manufactured by Southern States Cooperative on the east coast between May & July of 2014 needs to contact me ASAP. I have been given all the contact information for filing our complaints since they have refused to address our losses or illnesses in our horses while feeding their feed. I will be sending in the remaining feed in to these guys for them to do a complete & thorough testing so if any of you who have already contacted me or were also affected by their feed still have any feed left; You will need to send your feed in for complete testing as well. We tried to be nice & get them to work with us but now the gloves need to come off!

My husband had burnt the bag but I always look at the tags so I knew where it came from. Since I no longer had any proof, I just threw the feed to the deer where my horse couldn't get into it.
