"Spaz-tacular"!! Posts: 20309 Location: Bennett, CO	OK... This is all new territory. the gals putting on my shower for me had me put together a list of folks to invite. Im sure I got a good many of them.. But I know Ive left someone out or fogotten them! Is it bad etiquette to make a facebook posting about the shower? Im not looking to have a gigantic shower, and I am CERTAINALY not trolling for gifts- I even have on the invitation that we are having a GIFTS OPTIONAL shower as I dont want folks to feel obligated to share the day. But I dont want someone to feel left out. I guess this came to me as an idea as we have a couple girls here at work that DONT invite folks to these types of things.. and Ive heard from some of the older ladies in the office "How Rude!" it is of them to be so secretive and such to their co-workers.. and I dont want that to happen. Any thoughts?

Cute Little Imp Posts: 2747 Location: N Texas	Honestly, you can't make everyone happy. Posting it on Facbook looks gift-grubby, even though that is NOT your intention. With any event, there is bound to be SOMEONE who gets unintentionally left out. I would suggest just going through your Facebook friends list and make sure you have everyone included that YOU want there. If someone is not invited but they still want to get you a gift, they will. I know you're trying really hard to not hurt anyone's feelings, but don't stress yourself over it If anyone gets offended that they didn't get an invite, it's probably because they like to feel special by being invited to social events. Don't sweat it!

The Resident Destroyer of Liberal Logic Location: PNW	In all honesty, people don't really pay much mind to etiquette these days - I highly doubt you'd have the Emily Post Police on you about creating a FB post/event. Have fun and congratulations on your baby!!
