Anyone ever used it ? I use platinum CJ now. A friend used it on his calf horses and seems to like it. He says his horses are calmer and more focused. So I decided to come to the book of knowledge BHW.

My horse quit eating it. I was trying to give him a change from what I was using for a few months.

He did say one of his wouldn't eat it so he sprinkled water over feed and so far he's been eating it with water over it

All I know is we sell a crap ton here at our feed barn!!
And I wouldn't think we had a huge display that stays empty every day in front of the entrance doors if it was a terrible product...
The largest sizes you can possibly buy are delivered by the pallet every month to all the horse ranches around here. I would guess it worked since we sell so much of it. Then again most are cutting horse ranches so I'm not sure that matters.

I never said it was a terrible product but the amount you are suppose to feed is too much for many horses to tolerate since there is so much salt in it. I have found great results with other products so that is what I use.

I have fed every product on the market and have used Equipride more than any other. I switched to Platinum Performance and Platinum CJ for one. My horses eat the Platinum better than Equipride. Platinum has way more amino acids than Equipride.
There is a BIG difference between Platinum CJ and Equipride. They are not really the same kind of supplement.

I LOVED my results with it but decided to go with a more balanced feed.

I have used the tubs but I won't be buying anymore of them. I haven't seen any change in the way they look. My horses do eat it though.

I bought a tub to put out for my broodmare and it just ruined out there. Too expensive for that.

My mare ate the loose very well for several months then started tailing off. i could get her to eat about a half a cup over 24 hours. I gave her a tub and she wouldn't touch it. I quit feeding her the loose about two months ago. A few weeks ago i gave her a tub and she's eating it. Her hair coat, mane and tail look better on the Equipride. I haven't noticed any difference in her temperament and she is wound pretty tight at a race.

I went and looked at his little calf horse last night and let me tell you that little rascal has Really bloomed over a 2 month period. Top line is perfect looks full all the way thru. And hips are full and round. All winter he fed oats, Bermuda hay and Equipride. Really can see a difference in him

I use the Equipride. Seems to have what I need in it. They "say" that horses will only eat what they need. Once they get their balance they will taper off. I just mix mine in with the feed and I don't give probably what they recommend, but they have been on the Equipride for about 2 years now. I can tell a difference when I run out and forget to order more. The tubs, they ate the first one then they didn't the second one so I just chipped on the tub and fed it in their feed.

I wasn't implying you said that it was a terrible product?
I was simply saying I doubt we would sell so much if it was a terrible product in general...

As I said, I have tried them all. No doubt that Equipride is a good product but if your horse won't eat it, it doesn't do a lot of good.

Mine quit eating it too. Started out ok then just quit. But he's really weird. Can't get him to eat THE MM either no matter what I tried..but he happily eats Platinum performance so that's what he gets.

I think it really varies on the horse.. we did a test run of it one winter and gave it to a horse that had a blanket on and one that didn't and then compared them to horses that were not getting it and the hair coat on the ones getting it blanketed and not blanketed just had a gloss to them even with a heavy winter coat. I know some horses will turn their nose up to it and mine will if it is offered without it mixed in his feed. Now my other one will eat it right out of my hand. I think it is just like every other product it works for some and does not work for others. It was the only product that I was able to give my colt that made him stop chewing on boards and tails. I have noticed that with my horses being on it I have been able to feed less hay during the winter for them to look nice and fat.

We keep the 250lb tubs in the pastures and the 50lb tubs in stalls. I feed THE MM in their feed and the EquiPride they lick on as needed.

I feed Equipride to 3 horses - I used Platinum CJ but just couldnt afford it for 3 horses - I buy the big bag of EQ pride and give half cup 2x daily - coat/hooves/hair all looks so much better - it has biotin and probiotics and my ulcer prone horse does great on this - I still use something separate for joints but this has everything else that I need in it!
I love the product and will always give it to my horses
My hauling partner has an older mare that tends to colic and tie up and she hasnt done it since being on the EquiPride
