Any input on ones that don't leave a person orange looking? I have always tanned in beds in spring but wanting to steer clear of those, have no experience with lotions or whatever else, so curious is the more expensive brands are the way to go for a more natural look? Do they last awhile or wash off in the shower? Thanks for any suggestions

I am the palest of the pale out there and I've tried a lot of store bought tanners and have had some good luck and some bad. I've had a lot of luck with spray tanning with someone personally spraying, and not a booth. I just bought the best thing last week and that was Loreal Sublime Bronze Self Tanning Gelee (streak free, medium natural tan) from Walmart. It was only $8 somethin! I was skeptical but had luck with loreal sublime a good while ago but it was in a different bottle and was a different consistency. I used latex gloves which really help make it go on even and I'm so happy with it! The only complaint is that I didn't put any on my hands and feet the first time thinking it would barely show up at first and I was wrong so my hands and feet were pale compared to everything else! That was my own fault though. Lol. I'll try uploading pictures!

St. Moritz, Million Dollar tan, and Jergans just came out with a new foam. I like all of these. The tan will look good for a couple days and then due to your skin shedding they will start to fade. You may see some wash off, but its just the color guide to show were you applied the product. None of these are orangey, don't streak, and don't have the strong smell. Applying a light layer of lotion help them to blend better. I also suggest to wear gloves! Beautisol and Vita Liberata are suppose to be really good too.

I wish tanning beds weren't bad for you....they truly give you the best tan!!! I gave them up 5 or 6 years ago though.

I hate the sunless tanners smell after you put them on. And if you sweat.... gets blotchy.

This isn't super dark or really tan compared to some people but if you're pale like me than it's kind of exciting. Lol. I just get a light glow and tons of freckles in the summertime, I'm not one to get really dark. It starts to wear off a little about after 2 days so I put it on about three times this past week and this was Saturday and I hadn't put it on for two days. It's not the best representation because you can only see my face and neck but it gives you an idea. I thought it looked pretty natural and got a lot of compliments so I was happy with it!

Hello! FL girl here and I DON'T LIKE BEING PALE IN THE WINTER! I've tried them all, from the brand name Fake Bake, (amazing, but costly and tricky to apply) I like Sublime Bronze by Loreal for a subtle change and i love, believe it or not, Banana Boat's "Summer Color" I always get the less drastic one (it has a teal stripe on the front of the bottle, NOT the red striped bottle), because it doesn't streak or look orange :) ALWAYS wash your hands after (and wipe wrists, elbows & knees), and use a regular moisturizer first, it helps it to absorb. There are too many good drugstore versions to spend the money for a high dollar lotion or spray :) (Tomas is another good option, but also very touchy to apply because its such a drastic tan) :) Wow... I'm a self-tanner salesperson. How embarrassing. Haha!

I use the Jergen's Natural Glow "firming" lotion for fair skin tones. However, I guess I really only put it on my legs, but I do use it every day and I can tell a big difference if I stop using it. I don't find that it has any smell to it, however it does kind of come off on your clothes a little bit so make sure you are "dry" before you dress!

I've had good luck with Sally Hansen's airbrush leg makeup.  I used it for a winter wedding I was attending and only needed my legs to look dark (had long sleeves on).  It worked out good for me!  I keep telling myself I'm going to find a good sunless tanner, but I always just opt for jeans! haha!
