Regular Posts: 52	What are you experiences with supplements for respiratory allergies? Summer 2012 I was at a lot of races and I though my horse was bleeding. Brought her to the vet and had her scoped. The vet said she had allergies that caused mucus to plug her lungs. I have tried hydroxyzine which was recommended by the vet, didn't seem to help. I have also used Dex but prefer to avoid it. Currently I'm looking into oxy-gen 2x or breathe smoothe. Anyone have experiences with these products or similar ones. I also put Vicks in her nose before I run.

I AM being nice Posts: 4396 Location: MD	I have a mare who has bled due to dust allergies, respiratory issues. I give her the Bleed Stop and 2X. Have had her on this regimen for about 18 months now and am very happy.

Member Posts: 29	I have used Oxy-Gen for the past 5 years and have never looked back. It sounds like your horse would benefit from the 2x daily supplement, bleeder stop, and oxy 02 pre race.
