Anyone who thinks that they have not been affected in some way by this issue is living with their heads in the clouds. If you have owned horses for very long or have owned very many horses in general, it is very unlikely that you haven't had a horse that's been exposed to Monensin at some point in it's life. Consider the possibility that the "hard keeper" that you can't get to bloom, or the one that seems to keep ulcers no matter what you do, and maybe the one that died from a random colic didn't get sick because of a "weather change"....There might have been a toxic substance in your feed and it never crossed your mind to check. Bulls Eye Posts: 6443 Location: Oklahoma	For an all around supplement I feed Augment made by Adeptus Nutrition. I have worked with the founder/owner of the company and the horses look great.

Pork Fat is my Favorite Posts: 3791 Location: The Oklahoma plains.	It should also be noted that they make a lot of private label minerals for customers. Say like a feed mill wants a certain formula to add to their line of feeds, ADM will make it for them. So even if you have an iopnophore free feed mill, they may in fact purchase their mineral pack from ADM. Just something to consider.
