This is strictly cosmetic at this point BUT- I'm getting ready to order my new saddle- I can't decide between basketweave with floral trim or full on floral tooling! The basketweave looks very "clean" to me but the floral is so pretty too... HELP! Opinions, just for the fun of it?

I have always preferred floral tooling to basketweave, so that's my vote. Where are you ordering from?

I like basketweave with floral. I think it looks too busy otherwise, but it also depends on what else you have going on with your saddle.

I like simple so I always go with basketweave - it's all a pain to clean so it boils down to personal preference.  Where are you ordering from?  Yay for a new saddle!

I went with Basketweave with floral :) Looks very nice, clean but still "pretty"

I ordered from Corriente. I know some say they think they're cheaply made but they're really not, IMO. I LOVE them and the one in the barn fits everything I have!

I like the mix of floral and baket weave.

Mine that I have is basket weave stamped on the fork, side jockey, cantle, and fenders. The rest is smooth out. I feel like it would look better with some floral thrown on for good measure.

Can't complain tho. It was a gift LOL

Can't wait to see pics!!!!

Also wanted to ad:
This is probably the coolest video I've ever watched. Way to go Corriente. They may be "cheap" to some, but hey, at least they're transparent enought to say: "Yes, this is where we have our saddles made, this is where they come from."  I am at work so was not able to listen to the audio. I watched it on mute. Still cool tho.

I never thought about it either until I had to pick one out/design one. My current/old saddle is a Kim Thomas given to me by a good friend, so it came as it was and I loved it because it was a good, FREE saddle! lol

Yeah, I watched that. Very cool. My dad is in his saddle 5-7 days a week, its a Corriente ranch saddle. I rode a friends Corriente barrel saddle before making the purchase and I'm telling you, besides the few people or horses it doesn't fit for, they're great saddles. Not cheap, if you didn't know the maker and rode one, it may not be a Pozzi, but I guarantee most would like them :)

I have 2 Corrientes. Absolutely love them. I would love to try out a Pozzi Pro though. Some day..... Anyway, Can't wait to see pictures of yours!
