Location: SE KS | PBRIP.COM has the enrollment form. Owner & Rider must be an APHA members.

| $40 APHA MEMBERSHIP; $35 PBRIP MEMBERSHIP; $10 MINIMUM PER ENTRY SENT TO APHA BY EVENT PRODUCER Cost of PBRIP entry fee is at Producer’s discretion....
COST: $85-$100 to run your first horse ..
I hope the producers kick APHA and PBRIP to the curb and does not let them start dictating their insane color requirements and breeding nonsense to our national barrel horse events!!
APHA color rules has diminished their membership, number of registrations and killed paint racing purse amounts and participation on the track. Don't let them interfere with the great jobs the barrel associations and producers have done over the years.
Make APHA stand by their original rules of any registered colored or solid paint has equal opportunity to enter and not by their idiotic color and breeding rules.
************************************************************
In order to participate in any PBRIP side pots a competitor must be a current APHA member and an enrolled participant before or at the time of entry to the relevant PBRIP side pot event. The following rules must be complied with in order for a horse to be eligible to compete kin a PBRIP side pot and/or to be eligible to receive any PBRIP incentives and/or awards.
1. ALL APHA registered horses foaled prior to January 1, 2013 will be allowed to participate in PBRIP. ALL FOALS FOALED ON OR AFTER JANUARY 1, 2013 MUST COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS TO BE ELIGIBLE.
2. ALL Regular registered horses foaled on or after January 1, 2013 will be allowed to participate in PBRIP.
3. ALL Solid Paint-Bred registered horses foaled on or after January 1, 2013 must have at least one Regular Registry Paint Horse in the first generation and at least one Regular Registry Paint Horse in the second generation OR two Regular Registry Paint Horses in the first generation.
**Regular Registry is any horse that is registered as Tobiano, Overo, Tovero.
**Solid Paint-Bred Registry is any horse that is solid in color with minimal or no white.
*****************************************************************
Keep in mind by their own registration data 37% of all paints are born solid colored regardless of the number of colored parents or ancestors !!

I personally think the PBRIP is a great program! In fact, I think my next horse is going to be a Paint |

| I agree 110%!!! Those of us that like to ride flashy horses want the breeders to raise them so we can buy them and run them on barrels.
I don't want to raise them.....I want to pay someone good money for a nice bred colored horse.....otherwise I can go buy a solid AQHA if that was my preference.
Go PBRIP!!!! |

| I went to Jackson, Ms for a barrel race and saw their booth, I didn't know a thing about APHA or solid registry or what just mentioned my gelding had paint papers, they went through looking him up etc just to see if I could even enter, happened to talk me into buying my APHA membership and I was sure glad they were so helpful and willing to explain everything to an amateur painty owner because we ended up winning the sidepot by almost 2 tenths

| We don't have enough races around here that would do it, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in our string that runs a paint, and she is solid. haha |

Help us get the local races PBRIP sanctioned. The May 2 & 3 race @ Pawhuska, I have posted on their event page about possiblily getting PBRIP for it. But we need to show the producers there's an interest!!!
Thanks |

The color rule is in there because PBRIP ( Barrel Racing) is part of the Racing Committee and all events must comply with their stakes eligibility.
For those of you that say there is not enought events in your area- Talk to your producers! Any producer can request that their race be sanctioned. Not only do you win extra money that is only available to APHA horses, but you earn performance points on your horse as well. |

To clarify, I was referring to BarrelHorseUSA's post... I'm good with the rules and don't understand why they would make anyone upset Sorry that I didn't make my response clearer. |

I'm a little ways from getting mine papered. Gotta do pictures and DNA test through aqha. But I'm on it. Just not a fast process. |

That's ok, if we get it started now it will be up & going when your ready.
I also looked it up & it has to be sanctioned 30 days before the event!!! But I sent the producers
an email asking if they would consider PBRIP for future events!!!!
