Does anyone use roll-on fly repellent? How well does it work and what brand do you use?

Edited to clarify... for your horses, not yourself... LOL

I have been doing that, but this is for my 26+ mare who is retired and turned out 24/7. I was wondering if the roll on lasted longer. She is my baby and I feel bad seeing her swatting and stomping flies away.

M, does it seem to work longer or would I be better off sticking with rubbing spray on her face?

I'll use it when I'm riding, but for turnout I use fly sheet w/neck cover, shoofly leggin's, and flymask with ears.  He's about 90% covered in mesh!  I just don't feel like a spray on lasts more than an hour or so.

I love my old, baby, so much, I'm tempted to buy rolls of mesh, wrap her up from head to toe and send her on her way... Lol
I have a soft heart when it comes to her, but I'm sure she wishes I would leave her alone.

I actually found some amazing fly spray and its worth the $22/bottle! I highly recommend it, but I was just looking for other options around her eyes, nose and mouth.

M, this is what we have been using for years now and it has been, hands down, the best we have come across.

M, has it even warmed up enough in Alberta to have flies yet? I figured you would still be buried in snow!
