I love mine. Some people say they support the legs, others don't think any boots really do. If any boot is going to provide actual support it would be the Iconoclasts, and it makes me feel better. Also, I LOVE the extra tall hind boots on my big guy. He can't nick himself above his boot any more! And the best is that they never have any dirt in. My CEs were always full of dirt.

casualdust07 - 2015-05-03 12:29 PM I love mine. I bought the original model and it had some kinks.. but they changed manufacturers a few years ago and I have really liked them since then. My only complaint is they only come in two colors.. but I love white so I have a full set of white ones and black front ones for Bunny.
I always thought the white iconoclast boots look so sharp! But I gotta ask...how do you keep them clean?!
to the OP -  I love mine.  They do a better job when compared to the CE legacy and the SMB III boots, in my opinion, of keeping the dirt out without over heating the leg.

To keep my white sets clean, before I used them the first time ... I scotch gaurded the H3LL out of them.  Let them dry, and did it again.  Now, I just hose 'em quick, hang to dry and they are super clean after a run.
Do you re-apply scotch guard on them every so often? I scotch guarded an older pair of whites I had and it didn't seem to make much of a difference after the first wash. I usually let them set in oxyclean a few hours then hose off..
If I need to soak them in a bucket, say after a run in a particularly muddy pen, then yes, I will re-apply.

Please note, if you scotch gaurd after using them ( and not before the very first time) , you will already have dirt in them .... even if you soak it out or try to clean them.

Edited to clairify.

Velcro is terrible to use and there is too much bulk. I don't believe any boot actually supports, it just works for concussion purposes. I think polo's provide more support, and less concussion protection.

I don't use scotch guard and bought it for the purpose of making the boots easier to clean. I think I had some disillusion that I wouldn't ever need to scrub them again to get them sparkling white lol

I'm not a big laundry person. Chances are if it has a stain it'll keep it but god forbid a have any trace bandages or sport boots with stains LOL

HA!   I totally understand ... these literally are the first set I've actually tried to take care of more than just the occasional spray with a hose and brush the dirt off!

I'm on the fence about them.  I love the idea and design, but they aren't tall enough for my my big horses so I stick with the combo wrap (polo) from pro choice.  They always slid down on me (I'm sure it was me).  However, if my horses were shorter then the mooses that I ride, I would consider them again.

Thanks everyone! They will be used for a barrel horse and pick up horses. I have been a die hard Pro Choice user for like 15+ years, so this is a huge step for me!

I had a couple pair when they first came out and I liked them but I hated the amount of velcro.  My Classic Equines work just as well and are much less fussy to put on.  Did I mention I hated the velcro?   Oh and at the time they came in white or black, maybe pink but I like lots of different colors in CE's.

Funny, cause I just unloaded a butt load of CE legacies in colors and got a set of Iconoclast. Tired of hauling all those boots around.

Check out the "tall" versions ... they are a couple inches taller made specifically for horses with longer cannon bones

Just got my first set and I must say I have watched the video on you tube many times over. I am still having problems getting the straps that cross over in the front to look just right. The video doesn't show any overlap. Mine seem to be too long. I'm wondering if they are too big. I measured the fetlock per the instructions on their website. Maybe I just need more practice but I heard that if they are not put on correctly you may as well not have anything on at all.

Definitely check out the extra tall hind boots! My gelding is a solid 16.2 and they're perfect on him. My CEs and PCs were always so short on him!
