Location: Rocky Mountains | I'm trying to decide on which feed I need. Please share your experience with theses feeds:) I'm wanting the most energy and power I can get. So which is best for the upmost performance. Also I'm curious as to which of them makes the horse the most "hot".
that being said which of the omolene product lines are best out of omolene 200, 400, and 500. What separates these and makes them there own unique product line. Then take the best of those and compare to ultium. Any and all help is appreciated:D
Also keep my horse in good condition but they both do a good job of that according to the reviews I've seen!

Location: Ohio | I've used omelene 200 in the past and had to take my older gelding off of it. He was bouncing off the walls and turned into a nut. He is usually on the hot side anyway under saddle but never on the ground, however, this feed made him jumpy and spooky acting (even with routine stuff like grooming), extremely hot and a bundle of nerves at home and even more so when being hauled.
Not sure about comparisons as I stopped using the omelene line and have never tried the ultium but I'm sure someone will chime in with better nutritional knowledge.

Location: NC | Omolene is a low caliber extremely high sugar feed. You'll get a nutcase but not because they're ready to run. But because they will be riddled with ulcers from the extreme high sugar content. I think it's upwards of 30/40%.
Ultium is a much better quality feed.
I'm not a fan of Purina at all, but if I had no other choice, Ultium would be my pick. It has plenty of energy without a lot of excess starch content like the omolene. Much healthier energy levels. |

| There is no comparison between Omelene and Ultium if you look at the labels. Ultium is a low carb, high fat pellet which I think is the only way to go. However, I have recently found Blubonnet Omega Force and it is AWESOME. Same low carb/low pro/high fat and smells like granola! My hard keeper mare has bloomed on it. |

Location: Riding Crackhead. | Omolene feeds had too much of a high and low on my mare. She was either bouncing off the walls or a dead head. I switched her to Woody's Summer Heat, I like that much better. I feed Ultium to my gelding that ties up. It doesn't make him hot whatsoever. |

Location: Gainesville, TX | I have fed both Omelene and Ultium. We only fed small amounts of the omelene to our pasture horses because they were on constant grass (helped prevent ulcers). The Omelene is affordable so it worked well for that. I recommend the Ultium for any horse currently in training and performing. It really keeps weight on one and helps them bloom. It is also known for giving a kick of energy. |
