Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | Does anyone feed Red Cell? I never really looked into it until I got a coupon for a gallon. Isn't it just a good over all supplement for performance horses? I see that it says it's a blood building supplement. What does that mean? What does it do? I don't have my horses on anything right now and I'm looking Ito getting them on something that's good but that I can afford. |

| It's called a Blood Builder because it ups Iron and High levels of B12 and other vitamins. We used it on my gelding one year because he was Anemic. He was lethargic and didn't seem to care about much. Blood tests showed that he had low Iron levels. It can hop them up if they don't really need it. We took him off of it after a while. |

| It turned my mare who is usually totally sweet and well mannered into a complete BIT** ! I won't feed it again unless I test and they are low and need it lol |

My gelding gets it acouple times a week because based off blood work he was borderline anemic, so he needs it for the Iron.
I will feed it to sluggish horses or rescues because it is a good immune booster and energy enhancer. However, it can make some horses HOTT

Location: Kansas | I feed it to my most seasoned rodeo horse occasionally. Mostly just a few days before a big race. He is always a handful warming up but on Red Cell he's a monster! However he runs harder so I will put up with it occasionally. I do pull him off it for a couple weeks regularly, then feed it to him again for a few days, not feed it, etc. I fed it to him the week leading up to a big race the end of March and he ran really well there, then I pulled it from his diet for a week, fed it to him again the week following (had a Barrel Bash & rodeos coming up) and have not fed it since. I may throw it on his grain the last part of next week since there's a rodeo and a big added money race that weekend.
I like it for Chance, but the idea of feeding it to Clifford scares the beejeezus out of me! He definitely doesn't need help being wound up! |

| I feed it to my older retired guy occasionally when it seems like he could use a little boost. I wouldn't dare feed it to my mare or my other as they are a handful already. It just seems to perk up my older guy a little. But I have to drench it as he refuses to eat it on his grain. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I used it on my old gelding back in the day. He was anemic and had a low Iron count as well. I went through about two or three gallons and never bought it again because I no longer needed it. We changed his diet after that to keeo his iron levels where they needed to be and gave him injectable B12 the week of a race instead IF he needed it. I liked it. It perked him up and made him feel better. He wasn't crazy per say, just hyper when we rode. He got a lot more out of workouts after we got his iron levels back up. |
