Nice.
Cool! I'd hate to end up end up with a fire breathing monster. Lol.
Thanks for all the advice! |

If she has a coggins I would go ahead and buy her if you really want her that bad, from what state to state are you hauling? All I have ever needed was a updated coggins, the only time I need a health certificate was at big shows, but here in Texas I dont think you even need health papers just coggins.
From Mississippi to Alabama
Coggins is all you need for that movement

Location: North MS | I did the reverse trip pretty much, but the vet that did the coggins had done a full checkup on the horse already at time of coggins (checked teeth, sheath, etc) so he was happy to write a health certificate the next week and I picked him up the next day. I was hauling with a smaller truck and avoided interstates, but I was never stopped. I've actually never seen a horse trailer pulled over in Mississippi so I guess that is a great thing. |

Location: mi | If the vet just pulled the coggins he should not need to look at her again for a health cert. He should just write it up and her go pick it up in a car no horse needed. Or even mail it to her. It would be there in a day. She is making this WAY to hard. I am not sure why she would not have just done it in the first place. Mine charges $15. Way cheaper then a ticket. |

Is this the mare you are trying to buy? I would say go get her now!
I LOVEEE the Somekindadash horses. My best barrel horse was sired by him. Would love to own another. If you don't mind me asking where did you find her? Seems these horses are becoming harder to come by.
Good luck with everything! |

| Did you get the mare's AQHA registration certificate and a signed
transfer from the owner listed on the certificate??
and NOTHING ON THE BUCKSKIN BABY from stud owner of
JR CREAMWOOD?? If stallion report was filed last year on
JRC they should have a printed out breeders certificate which
also doubles as a registration certificate for the foal ...
stud owner gets these printouts last year if he filed a
stallion report. .. You can find out if a report was filed on the
.. now she's your mare .. by asking AQHA if a report was
filed in 2014 and for other years as well ...
she raced in 2007-2008-2009-2010 had 15 starts 0-0-1 earned $756 ..
her 3 dams never raced.
Now follow this closely .. on the allbreed pedigree for JR CREAMWOOD
... HIS SIRE spelled SAWYERWOOD is a blooper and has the
identical pedigree of the nice stallion SAWYER WOOD owned
by Rodney Ruzsa...... so .. ask AQHA if this JR CREAMWOOD
even exists and/or if he is by the real SAWYER WOOD or not ...
Check the produce of the mare and see what she has been
doing since 2010 ... and have vet do a uterus exam and see
if she was injured at birth with this baby etc etc ...
On paper she looks decently bred but her dam side of he
r pedigree history does not look good.. pull the lip up on
the mare and see if he has a racing tattoo and this
also be on her AQHA papers .. no need to read the whole
number .. just try to read the starting numbers or the 2-3
at the end to match them with papers ..
Craigslist owner made me wonder what their problem was
also .. and like you.. if I get no cooperation out of buyer
or seller they are dumped and I walk on by with no regrets .
.. buying or selling should be a good experience with each
party participating to their best abilities ...
if the paper trail above works out for the good .... go ahead
and DNA filly for parentage verification ... same price as
common kinfolks DNA ... because a new owner will wonder
who the heck is JR CREAMWOOD sired by SAWYERWOOD ... lol
If grandsire is SAWYER WOOD ... and you need help on
deleting SAWYERWOOD off of allbreed ... I will be glad to help you...
GOOD LUCK .. YOU ARE NOW IN THE HANDS OF AQHA .. lol

Location: Bama | I did get her AQHA papers and transfer. However I do need to check her tattoo. Poor girl looks like she's been neglected as far as having contact with people. Her feet are HORRIBLE, she has a matted mane and tail, and she does not want to be messed with. I'll be working on that lol. My other three come running when they see me.
She has no babies listed under her name on AQHA. A "Cedar Creek Ranch Inc" from Richamond TX owned her from 2007-2013. So I'm not sure what she did from 2010-2013.
I contacted the stallion owner yesterday when I got home with them. He confirmed his stallion bred this mare. He is going to send me a copy of the breeders certificate.
I searched JR Creamwood on AQHA as well, and his sire is Sawyer Wood. Someone must have put it in wrong on allbreed. Can it be changed?
Thanks for all the info! |
