I will be doing my first weekend barrel race with my gelding that I got last summer. I am just looking for something to take the edge off my horse while stalled. He lives outside 24/7 and the one time I had him confined he was NOT happy.

Suggestions?

THE has calming powder and calming cookies. They work really well, easy to give and have a money back guarantee

I use the THE calming powder, my horse is doing EXCELLENT on it, nothing else I tried worked for him, so I was skeptical about this, but it has been GREAT!!!

So, I just tried 2 different protocols with calming products on my horse who since he lost most of the sight in his right eye has lost all his confidence. Apparently he wasn't ridden much out of an arena/small pasture either. He has terrible anxiety to the point of becoming almost unhinged. I have lost my confidence with him to compound the problem. Soo, I bought some THE calming powder, Pozzi Relax and a BOT skullcap(for want of a better description). My reasoning being, the powder for calming, the Pozzi because it has a stomach soother and the BOT because he is very tight in his poll. He gets the THE every morning, the Pozzi 1 hour before I work him in situation I know will be upsetting and I put the BOT on him when I give him the paste. He still can get anxious, but not for the whole ride like before. Did it change him into a new horse? Nope, but he is manageable and now we can work on getting back to my good boy again. My goal is to get completely off all of these and I believe we will. I also used just the THE and the BOT and he was ok but I felt like I needed to address his nervous stomach.

LOVE IT and it Works!

Tried OXY products with zero results but the AE is in a league of it's own.

Thank you all for your replies! I don't need a daily for him, just something to help him deal with being confined and all the activity. Something just to help him "chill". I will look into all your suggestions!
