Most of what we have here on the ranch by our own stallion are that way. That was one of his great traits he passed on. They can go all day and then some. A lot of heart and a lot of work ethic. All but one is all race bred too, but they really work cows like they were bred for it.

I once knew an appaloosa that could run all day and then his owner would round pen him at a lope for 3 hours to try to wear him down to put the first rides on him. They could never get the nerve to break him so they just sold him as a companion animal.

What is his pedigree?

Horses with the large heart associated with the large heart gene tend to be able to run longer distances

I have a few they come from a large heart family and you can't make them tired and even when they are blowing it only takes a little bit to go back to normal. I love it all except when they are fresh !

mine is VF Burrs Eye and I don't really see how he could have the large heart, but would be great if he did.

Before Xena went to her first futurity I swam her for 6 weeks.  At her first futurity Ducky cussed me and told me never to think of doing that again!!  After 20-30 minutes working hard she had barely broke a sweat and was still fresh-fresh.  Xena fresh is not what you want on the pattern, still to this day.  Even laid off over the winter she takes 15-20 minutes of long trotting to get to where I can lope her, and then another 5-10 minutes of loping before her lope is somewhat relaxed.  Then you can go DO something with her!

CC is just that beast. Ran Pendleton and I do not think she took more than 1 deep breath and was on her toes looking for another go. She is the kind of horse that travels all day though, not pacing but she just goes from one end of her pasture to the other and she does it framed up all the time so she comes off an injury or a lay off looking like she is fit. When I was having issue with her as a 3 year old I sent her out for 30 day. The trainer has a 100 foot round pen, he had his guy that lopes colts take her and was gong to lope her down. She took off like a bottle rocket (which is what I was having issues with) and the kid went to pull her up and Skeet told him to let her lope herself out. Skeet said 20 minutes later she was still doing Mach 10, well he actually said "she was running like a striped a$$ed ape". Ed Wright explains her as having a "Nascar Motor".
