Frequent Urination

I have 3 horses turned out in a coastal pasture 24/7. They also all get Senior Safe Choice feed and Renew Gold. I have a 100 gallon water tank that I keep cleaned and filled with fresh water. We have been having temps with the heat index in the 100βs the last few days and they have been drinking a lot of water. I have recently put out a salt block. A few days ago, while riding the 11 year old, he stopped to urinate during our ride. I didnβt think a lot about it, but the next day he did the same thing, then peed again about 30 minutes later after I had unsaddled. A couple days later, he peed during riding and again after unsaddling. The urine is clear and he doesnβt seem to have any problems going
(as in a good steady stream
). Is this something I should call the vet about?

My gelding urinates more in the summer because of the heat. I do bring him to the vet and have blood drawn and a urinalysis done to be sure. Everything came back normal. It could be a number of things though. I would get with a vet just to be sure your not dealing with anything serious. My vet said mine is prob due to heat and it causes him to drink a lot, and to monitor his urine output because it's so diluted his could end up with a bladder infection. So to watch and if it becomes, thick, puss/cloudy or had blood to bring him back in.

in my horse's case, it was ulcers causing his frequent urination.
