Just saw on Facebook where a lady's saddle was stolen at the idabel oklahoma rodeo, right off horses back. It was a gbarg rough out barrel saddle. Just wanted to post here to in case somebody tries to sell it.

First of all, I hope she gets her saddle back. Unfortunately, arenas are not usually in the best part of town, because of this it is wise to make sure your stuff is locked up. Horseman don't want your stuff, they have their own. It is usually passing through looking for something to steal that takes it.
I just saw on fb that a girl bought a saddle in Waco and paid for it with a stolen check with a forged name. That really is pretty rare however it does happen.
Again I hope she gets her saddle back.

This is why I am afraid to buy an expensive saddle. I see horses tied up to trailers in the "back 40" at races with nice tack and think they are way too trusting. The days of leaving our trucks and trailers unlocked are over. But, now we have to worry about thieves stealing our saddles off our horses! I hate a thief!
