Location: Austin, Texas, where it can get really weird!!
I took this picture the other day. Ever since this horse has been legged up and muscled I've had this spot. He shows no signs of soreness, it just concerns me. On his other side most of the time there is no dry spot on rare occasions there will be a very small one. Will a shim be something that might help and how would i position it to not move during saddling.

I would be looking at the saddle since it is one side, it is possible the tree warped, or broke.

Also I would be feeling under the saddle to ensure there are no variances in pressure

A pressure or dry spot on one side is not normal

Has the horse been chirod, massage if not I would do this too
