Location: Displaced Iowegian | I had a friend who did the other day....She is really pretty computer savvy......these were her posts....... PSA for the day.....if you were one of the "lucky" ones to be notified that you could download Windows 10 for free....DO NO DO IT.....REPEAT....DO NOT INSTALL WINDOWS 10....I made that mistake this morning, what a buggy piece of crap....finally after 6 hours got it uninstalled and back to running Windows 7....locked up my programs, locked me out of my internet access, froze my computer, uninstalled part of AVG....what a mess.... I am now finding programs that it "deauthorized" like my photo editing programs that I edit raw pics with....

Here's what they shared:
Windows Users: If you're thinking of upgrading to Windows 10 - Don't - At least not yet. I have experimented with it, and besides being very buggy and unfinished, you should know a few facts first.
1. You cannot turn off automatic updates from Microsoft. This means that ANYTHING they want to load onto your PC they can and without your knowledge or approval. Might include pop-up ads, spyware, anything.
2. No one reads the End User License Agreement (EULA), but the Windows 10 EULA includes this tidbit among other horrors: “We will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary.” So much for privacy! These two issues will remain, though bugs may be fixed, and missing features may arrive in a few months. Be patient... |

| To keep making billions of dollars Microsoft has to keep putting out trashy OS systems for everyone to buy ... compare it with the trashy weird looking foggy headlights in your car that cost $400 to replace just one of them when a $10 glass headlight would work with no problems for years and years.
All of your OS and security software have their own set of cookies they sell to companies that can advertise on your computer with no way of blocking them ... don't you think that an ad blocking cookie would be the greatest thing for us to have to get rid of unwanted ads and to speed up our computer/internet instead of waiting on all those sidebar and automatic videos to download ...
As long as money is to be made ... they can put bugs in your current OS system to make you want to buy the new version ... It is like my IP ... VYVE ... even if you buy their fastest 4G ... in the fine print they say you can use it for a few minutes per log in and then slow you down to 2G for the remainder of that log in to the extent of pausing // freezing your screen to compensate for the traffic on a given link you may have clicked on .... cuts their broadband costs down dramatically for more profit and to heck with you... |
