Anyone have one? What type of mileage do you get? Likes and dislikes?

Looking for a daily driver since my truck won't fit in the parking garage at work and cannot be plugged in. I have about a 30 minute commute and I'm from NE so need something that will work in the snow. Hoping to only use my truck to haul.

A good friend of mine had one and she really liked it. I believe she got around 22-24mpg in town. She did end up trading it for a Jeep, however, because she drives about 3 miles of gravel per day and was going through tires like crazy.

I had one for a few months. It was nice enough, and I averaged 23-24 mpg, but it wasn't big enough for me.

I love mine. I have had it for four months now. I am a lead foot and get 24 consistently.  There is only myself and sometimes my husband. If I had two kids I might want the explorer. But for me it is great.

I have one and have had it for almost a year.  I do mostly highway driving, have a lead foot and the 2.0 L, I4 Ecoboost engine.  I average 28 to 29 mpg.  I have some hills on my commute and the 4 cylinder is fine.

I like the SUV but if I had more than one kid I'd want more room.  It gets tight with groceries and feed in the back plus all the other normal stuff. I can't help with the snow part since I'm in Arizona!

I had one for almost 5 years and was driving 120 miles round trip per day. I was getting 22-24 mpg. I never had any trouble with mine and the AWD is the way to go. It was great in snow and even ice. I felt very comfortable driving it in the winter.

I have a 2013 Edge and I love it!  It is such a nice car for my little family (husband, baby on the way, and a lab in the back usually).  If we have another kid some time down the road, I might want something bigger, but for now it is perfect.  I commute 10 miles to work and have a lead foot usually, and I get about 20-22 mpg.  I have the awd model though, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

My mom commutes in one, 90+ miles a day.  It has over 150k on it, going strong.  Looks like new.  She gets mid 20's with it.

I had a 2008 and I LOVED IT! I only got around 20 mpg daily driving but that included a lot of idle time while dropping off/picking up my child from daycare.
I absolutely loved mine for snow driving. Only got it stuck one time while trying to drive in almost 2 feet of snow and our dang road hadnt been plowed. And that was turning in my driveway. Super reliable car, no mechanical issues what so ever in the 105k miles I drove it. In 6.5 years I replaced the battery once, put on two sets of tires, and replaced one belt. Nothing else but routine maintanance.
I did end up trading in for a pickup in April, but only because we really needed a second pickup. I'd have bought another Edge in a heartbeat.

We bought our brand new in 08. Its a all wheel drive and my wife has 159,000 on it and it only had a new battery and its on its third set of tires. We live in Iowa and it gets from 22 to 28 mpg. My wife loves it. She really loves the key pad in the door. She never has to be worried about being locked out. She works at school and just leaves her keys in the center counsel with the car locked up. She loves the all wheel drive as we live in the country and she is not worried about getting stuck in the snow with it. She haules 3 kids in it.

I got my Edge in May and can honestly say I LOVE that car!! I test drove a lot of similar sized cars (Murano, Rogue, Traverse, Jeep, Highlander and one other) and by far I loved the Edge the most. At first I didn't know if I'd want an Edge or an Explorer, but after getting in the Edge, I thought it was plenty big and didn't even test drive the Explorer. I should say it's usually just me or me and my husband as we don't have kids. I have plenty of room to stop at the feed store and stock up on shavings and grain. The back seat goes down with a touch of a button. It is also so comfortable I just love driving it and riding in it. I got super lucky and got a fully loaded one with low miles for a great price (I think it was probably a turned in lease) and I am just in love with the leather interior, the Vista roof and all of the extras it has. I would say the only down size is it's so nice I haven't wanted to put my GSD in it yet because I know she'll shed all over....I know she's a little sad over that.

We bought one of these and we are on our second vehicle with it. If you search you can usually find them on sale.
