Location: midwest mama | I have an injured horse that I am doing rehab on, and I have gotten the green light to take him off of complete stall rest and turn him out in a small paddock during the day. :)
He has aluminum shoes with full pads on, and I want to be careful, so I want to put bell boots on him while he is out - maybe even keep them on 24/7. All I have are the no turn ones that we compete in.
What are the best bell boots to do this with, and where do you get them? |

Location: West Texas | If you really want to put bell boots on for turnout, I would recommend the old gum rubber ones that you have to pull on and off. You can get them a lot of places online for sure, Smith Bros, etc. |

Location: CTX | I use these 24/7 on everythign that has shoes on. Heck, most times I am too lazy to take them off and will also run in them....
My old mare is in need of replacements. She has been living in them for about 5 years now, the only time I take them off is when the farrier does her feet.

Location: Jersey Girl | I use the rubber ones but with velcro. If you horse is always pulling them off them the pull on rubber ones would be the best option. |

Location: Midwest | Just watch with the rubber ones. They can get fungal infections under the boots if they are out in wet conditions a lot. Make sure to clean the area well and you shouldn't have too many problems. |

| My vet warned that the rubber ones can cause the feet to retain a lot of heat in the summer. SO I just use the regular nylon ones. On during day, off at night. |

Location: MD | we use the gummy davis ones that have the velcro, and some that slip on. I like being able to hose them off and they are dry by turn-out time. |

i tried the rubber ones with the velcro and my gelding has ripped them off within couple days. The velcro strap was ripped right off!  |

I get them online at Smith Brothers. You can google them. Just make sure you get the smooth heavy duty ones, I tried the ribbed ones and they fall apart pretty fast. |

Folks on-line
